After seeing Jansen again tonight, his movement and ability or choice to hide away at times and look flustered is starting to grate on me, i believe King would be better for us and offer us more. Jansen has his qualities and im one of the ones that wants to see him do well but he seems to lack the tenacity, i still believe there is quality in him but the more i see him i dont think hes right for us, however as i have said before 30M for king is more than daylight robbery, in todays market 20M max even then im not happy we would spend that on him but thats todays silly money market. Id rather if we spent that kind of money we go for ineacho from city
Agree, sadly there was little in Janssens performance to give any indication that he will be any better this season. It looks very much like his style of play and strengths just don't fit or work with the way we play.

Josh king for 30m, prefer Zaha for 50m. Zaha Alli and Eriksen behind Kane would be devastating

Perfect!

I can't be bothered to go through my own dumb shit though.

@Jospur go nuts my friend.

In view of these links to past posts, I don't suppose that the @Sweech comment to me of "You have a weird memory of this and I don't think any of it is actually accurate" actually holds water.

According to him, not only was Fazio better than Alderweireld - it seems that he was better than Vertonghen as well. And Walker was another player not highly regarded - the same player that went to Man City from Spurs for a record transfer fee.

We all have opinions and some may in time turn out to be not well-considered ones. I just wish that @Sweech would have acknowledged those opinions...

I have acknowledged those opinions plenty of times? Like being wrong on Alderweireld.

You just accused me of weird stuff that wasn't accurate.

Frankly I think this is the weirdest vendetta ever. The fact you can even remember it creeps me out a little. If all you wanted was for me to admit being wrong or writing stupid shit I bet you'd only have to look something like 2 weeks back.

@Jospur @Sweech
Guys, come on. I think you both have clarified your stance pretty well, after days of going over this. That is, the stance on whether or not one poster is or was wrong about Fazio, a player who is no longer with the club, in a thread a bout King, (a player who hopefully will never be with the club).

You only acknowledged that you were wrong about Alderweireld after your past posts were shown.

I didn't accuse you of any weird stuff. All I said (accurate) is shown just a few pages back. Not weird at all.

Just to keep matters accurate...

At any rate it's now very clear how things stand. Let's move on.

Interesting stat, esp for a potential super sub...(from @AdvanFootball)

The problem with this analysis is that Josh King played primarily as the central striker in the second half of the season when he scored fairly prolifically, and this chart classes him as a winger or AM.

I think Josh King can become a good PL player, and his ability to play both as a striker and a wide AM is one of the reasons we're apparently considering him for squad depth. But Sonny can more fairly be categorised and judged as an AM in the chart above than KIng.

As @yanno says above King played as a striker for most of those goals. He wouldn't be a terrible buy for a squad player but i'd say he's worth £20M max and I don't see us getting him for that.
