Why are they not? Only in Pochland do new signings need half a season or more to be fit enough to play just as only in Pochland players can’t play 2 games a week. Funny other teams don’t seem to have these problems

He has literally been out for 7 weeks, I didnt expect for a minute GLC would start today.

And i dont know why Ndombele is so out of shape but you can see him blowing after 30mins whenever we play.

But there lied part of the problem today. We know we can have this lot on the ropes. We proved it a couple of seasons ago at Anfield when we dominated the game in the second half. This squad is more than good enough to compete with Liverpool. We played them as if we were Burnley, and without considerable success at all. Even so, if you do plan to concede possession then at least stop them pummelling our goal and create 5 or 6 dangerous breakaways with clever, purposeful moves.

Where's the aggression, the bravery, the bollocks? Everyone knows at the moment performances are more important than results, so let's just have a fucking go at them ffs. Of course this current team he's picking doesn't have it in them anymore because a third of them aren't playing for the shirt and our manager is still accommodating them whilst he loses his ruthless edge.

We're just fucking drifting and it's so sad to see.

Until we have better fulbacks I think we're going to be limited in options against better sides.

People saying Poch's tactics almost worked, yeah ok that's 1 win in 16 games against Liverpool, 11 losses, many by just 1 goal margin, most of those games under Poch management (13 games, 8 defeats)

Still, his tactics almost worked...

Not the main reason but they’ve been complicit in a number of goals from individual errors (Aurier) & poor positioning (Rose).
Plus neither offer much going forward.
As have Toby, Verts, Lloris, Davies, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Sanchez just to mention a few.

Good thing is, as Aurier will cost you every 2 to 3 games we may have a couple of games without one of his stinkers. Even better if he's rested.

Aurier has been fine this season. There's a weird belief amongst fans that he's one of our worst players and is some sort of Championship player. Of course, he's had bad games. He was poor against Bayern but I maintain he's had more good games than bad this season. He was fine today and maybe the penalty was a bit clumsy but i'd hardly call it a moment of madness.

Rose clearly doesn't want to be here. It's up to Pochettino to pick Davies and Sessegnon over him. It's not Danny Rose's fault that he's playing every week.

I'm sorry but I don't see the full backs as an excuse to be 11th in the league playing largely weak, unimaginative, lifeless football.

We were completely shit mate. Played defensively yet conceded bucket loads of chances. We didn’t look solid for one moment and I wouldn’t have been confident if we were 3-0 up never mind 1-0 up. Couldn’t get going any sort of cohesive, structured possession play and shat the bed and started hoofing it anywhere when they pressed us. If Gazzaniga didn’t make some decent saves it would have been a total disaster. I don’t understand why people blindly look at the result when they have watched the match in full.

Yep we where a disgrace today, I really don't understand how some fans can defend this? We haven't won a single away game in the Premier League since January! We are showing relegation form and some of the team selections are just mind boggling. I can get fans trying to rationalise poor form but this has surly went beyond even the most optimistic fan, we are in serious serious trouble.

Its not the only excuse but they are our weakest link.

That and Aurier can't even take a bloody throw in! He and Rose also want out, leaving Ndombele, Moura, Lo Celso on the bench but starting Eriksen, another who wants out, and Dele Alli who's form is in the toilet! It just beggars belief that Pochettino can't see what's going on right in front of him and if he can then you have to ask what is his agenda?

I agree with you that he doesn’t help himself, I said that in my post RE Eriksen / N’Dombele - but we have to take into account that he has a champions league campaign to ready squads for too.

From next Sunday we have three games in 6 days, he’s clearly having to take that into account when playing the likes of Rose over Davies for example.

Aurier over KWP and/or Foyth is very strange too.

But my point is the current squad situation would be frustrating for anyone in his position. He doesn’t have a massive amount of quality strength in depth as it is, let alone with your entire defence wanting to leave.
I cannot work out why Foyth is suddenly out of favour. Eriksen is terrible and should not play again.

It's kick off time. The ref has counted the players, who are all lined up. Winks is ready to kick off and the ref is ready with his whistle. But he waits. Then the crowd finishes singing and he blows the whistle and the game starts.

Am I missing something? Can't mickeys watch a game of football and sing at the same time? Perhaps there's a Premier League rule that says that games at Anfield can't start until the crowd has finished its pre-match 'You'll Never Walk Alone'?

It's bollocks. Fuck the singing. Blow the whistle and start the game.

It's because they are shit full of their own self importance and imagine somehow that football worships them. The actual descriptive term for them is "****s"

If refs don't start games until they've finished singing, they may have a point.

It's absolutely ridiculous and I think the ref cannot have seen it properly. That goes to VAR and it's cancelled. It's clear that Sane blocks Aurier's clearance. Sane is not in possession of the ball
I cant believe people are saying it's a penalty !@#@ sports gone mad, the only foul you could possible give in that situation was on aurier, he was in possession. anywhere else on the pitch and that's a foul on aurier or whoever's is about to strike the ball ? Have the rules changed? Its wound me up......and still is.

@jenko

So we deserved to get something out of the game do you think?

Disagreeing with you was a wind up. You're obviously chomping at the bit I couldnt resist. Chill bro. I missed the game today. Will undo my rating.

No I said before the game that we shouldn't start CE or Rose and he did. No surprise we lost but I'm relieved it wasn't an embarrassing scoreline.
