Don't understand why people keep saying Zaniolo is high risk. Yes he has had injuries but he played more games than Paqueta last season
My problem with ligament injuries is that from observation in football and other sports it is not uncommon to see subsequent problems with these injuries, such as the development of arthritis. That wouldn't stop me from signing a player with an operated ligament, as I'm not a doctor, so I would trust the assessment of the club's doctors. I feel there is a high risk with this injury despite not being the career-ending sentence that it was 20 years ago. Like i said I'm not a doctor or have any knowledge in this area, perhaps someone with more knowledge could come here and explain that my concerns are overblown.

12 yellows and 2 reds last season can be considered a risk from a disciplinary stand point.

I wrote in the Zaniolo thread but with either of him or Paqueta plus Kulusevski I'd be delighted.

A season ago our front three (433) was Son/Bergwijn - Kane - Lucas/Gil. So to enter this season with potentially Son/Lucas/Perisic - Kane/Richarlison - Kulusevski/Zaniolo or Paqueta would be absolutely brilliant.

Personally would opt for Paqueta because I would enjoy the brazilian vibes with Richarlison and Lucas but either or I'd be happy

Unless something goes seriously wrong with the Zaniolo deal, I'm afraid this one won't happen.

Although clearly we have interest and have spoken to him, Zaniolo is the one Conte wants.

Although I would personally love Paqueta, I'm also excited by the prospect of what Conte can do with Zaniolo, I think he's perfect for the Prem.

Regardless of who comes, exciting times!

Personally I'm happy to avoid the stress of a big-money signing from Lyon

Certainly wasn't expecting both deals to happen, but I'm all for Conte getting his first choice.

It’s funny, I’d be happy with both, although would prefer Paqueta. But there’s now going to be a part of me thinking what if for a good while. On the plus side it does sound like Zaniolo is getting close to happening. I wonder if he he plays for Roma tomorrow.

Paqueta strikes me as the kind of signing that "old" Spurs would have made. Before there was a clear game plan and managers who took what they were given. All shiny and exotic and technical but no real idea of how to accommodate him - and just an assumption it will work. NZ looks like a Conte player in every regard.

You say that but sounds like he's our second option so either we are like old spurs still or we think he would actually work
