Welcome to the Man City Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

I'm not sure I/the forum is in the mental place to watch us away to city, but we'll give it a go ?.

I would say in previous times our fairly attacking play allows us to make waves against city and take the game to them.
So I'm not sure how our awful first half, error prone output is going to do anything other than lose by several goals but we'll see.

Logically and tactically there aren't many routes to victory, but weird things happen in football... A big reaction is needed after the NLD and Conte has to get the players up for it.

No fuckups from backline and we can win. Using our strongest 11 would also help. Son would usually do great against them, maybe he finally does something positive again. Both teams are in crap from, anything is possible.

Just saw Manchester airport has closed due to heavy snow. Any chance this gets postponed? Wouldn't be upset if it did..

I'm not in the right frame of mind to watch this game... I'll pass... other issues at the club are more important to me at the moment.

I've said elsewhere it'll be typical Spurs for everything to fall into place and we'll win, helping Arsenal in the process only to then implode again v Fulham...Obviously I'm hoping I'm wrong and we go on a decent run!!

Unless there is a lot more snow, I don't think it will be called off.

Sounds like they may have an inch of snow at a push.

the only hope I hold is that we've been a bit of a bogey team for them in recent seasons.

This fixture is always so strange.

City should be really battering us but yeah it's always a mad game.

To the 3 people who voted for spurs to win, can you share what you're smoking?
Please please please quote this back to me at 10pm tonight....

I don't think we'll win, but we have been somewhat of a bogey team of theirs in recent years. And they're not exactly in top form themselves. It wouldn't shock me if we did win.

I'll know whether I'm going to watch it when the team is announced. Pretty sure I'll be sitting this one out. Can't keep on watching us surrender midfield and then expect a different outcome.

Hot Chocolate also 'believed in miracles' and they even suggested that 'Everyone's a winner, that's no lie'...
Unfortunately tonight this is not the case or the truth, and reality rather that voting with what I want to happen is what I've voted, and what I think will happen, and that is neither a 1 or 3 point haul from this game.

Even if the miracle did happen or we got a point, Arsenal would be winners and that's a bitter pill to swallow 'that's no lie'.....

Arsenal are winning the league, whatever happens. I’d like to win tonight, and again when we play them at home :singing:

They can do themselves a favour and take points off Arsenal.

We've played them in worse shapes than we're in now and still won.
We are their bogey team, and for that reason i'm in.
