Ouch. Fellaini has had a huge amount of space. It is leaving as massively exposed when one of our centre backs tries to pick him up. I don't think our midfield duo could actually mark him. He's a handful.

Take note. We've had halves like this in the season, where we've clearly dominated and easily looked the better side yet have gone into the break either level or only a single goal up, with multiple chances wasted. United have made the most of it and have potentially shut the game out in one half. We need to learn to do that.
It rarely happens, but the Ghosts of Spurs past have been summoned today at large.

I can barely understand Potch in his interviews. I can understand the words, but he seems to muddle up sentences in English. Wonder how articulate he is at getting over his tactics to the players, especially when we need to change something mid game.

If we wanted CL, it was this game to be the turning point. In typical Spurs fashion we're going to waste that opportunity and make the rest of the season basically a lame duck.

I'm so fucking frustrated with this. So many deficiencies.

Well this is pretty much the polar opposite of what I expected. Looks like we've been given horse tranquillisers and United are on Lance Armstrong stimulants. Bizarre swing in performance.

If only we had MS, can't keep relying on Mason & Bentaleb to perform, Levy needs to back Poch FULLY in the summer!

This is so frustrating.

Been looking forward to this game the whole week, thinking that for once we had a decent rest before a game and might fire on all cylinders.

Instead we get this. The worst performance of the season. What the hell have they done all week??
Probably upset they didn't get more than two days off

Dropped my phone and now the top part is cracked open, coupled with the way we've been playing. What an awful day.

First time we've lost our heads for a long while. This may be a the kick up the arse we needed after the band of brothers shit coming from the players.

They are just kids, notch it up as a painful lesson. Move on.

I've paid 7 quid for a sky sports day pass!
It's been worse than bad but some of the comments are just silly.
they have been excellent, we have been poor. It isn't time to jump off of the nearest bridge.
some players have been poor, but these are the same players who have been good for the majority of the season.
we need to try and salvage something from the second half and go from there.
we haven't suddenly turned into a shit team or poch a shit manager, we're having a bad day, you move on.

I'm sorry and I've said this previously but... the Mason/Bentaleb pairing in the middle of the park is one of the worst in the league. They may have potential, and they may have bossed 1 game against Arsenal, but to be relying on those two in the heart of our midfield? No fucking way. One or the other with a CM who can actually track a runner. Both player just get extra kudos because they dive in like fucking lunatics and run around a lot, on the technical side of things both have a LOT of learning to do.

Even though it's a weaker United side than the norm, we have to be up for it to get anything. To carry two or three players may just have been doable but when the whole side fail to turn up, the inevitable will happen...sometimes you just have to doff your hat and admit we're being outclassed.

The difference between a top side and an average one can be shown up in that third goal. Top teams have a cynical side to them and stop the man or the ball if not both. Why did Dier not step across his path? We allowed Rooney an easy run through on goal. A yellow card and a marker down should have happened long before he scored.

Double sessions

(because at this stage of the season they're not fit enough)
