Sandro - 8, Just a beast, allows Parker to push on.
Parker - 7, Played well, could release the ball earlier when advanced.
Modric -7, The glue that binds our team together
VDV - 7, One outrageous ball to Ade. Worked hard. Some lovely interplay with the new famous 5.
Bale- 9. Just awesome. Was that a planet of the apes celebration? :lol:

Ade - 8, Hard working as always. Brilliant hold up play.

Walker was solid. Didn't rush. Covered brilliantly and felt he was everywhere he was needed. To be honest, I didn't rate him as much as I do after today.

Brad 7.5: Standard solid performance, one little piece of bad communication with Kaboul.
Walker 7: Defended...meh. Wish he'd get a little tighter to his man to be honest.
Kaboul 8.5: Magnificent.
Gallas 8: Great game, minus the slip resulting in a free kick 18 yards out.
BAE 8: A much improved performance than the shite of late.
Parker 8: Along with Sandro dominated, got forward to good affect in'all.
Sandro 8: Great player, good performance.
Modric 9 (motm): Pulled the strings today. Up there with Xavi in terms of quality.
VdV 8: Played his part, nice to see him trying to stay central when possible.
Bale 9: His second goal was sublime, provided movement all game.
Ade 8: Movement was excellent, lovely footwork for bales 1st and battled all game.

Livermore N/A
Kranky N/A honorable mention for lovely first-first touch.
Rose 7: Gave the ball away, though defended well when asked any quesitons.

Did I miss something?

One cross he spilled early on that could've been dangerous, and quite a few balls in that he should claim easily but made Kaboul and Gallas deal with instead, usually not with great results.

I'm being a bit harsh, his kicking was good and he had naff all else to do, but those incidents worried me a bit.

Went for Bale, but thought the team as a whole played very well. Modric worked very hard, tracking back, Sandro was solid. Good all round performance!

Parker 8 - I feel so relaxed with him in the team

Modric 8 - Ran the midfield

Van der Vaart 8 - Some amazing passes and much more disciplined
Bale 9 - Two great finishes

Friedel - 6. I mean he touched it twice I think?

Walker - 8.5 Runs all day. Defends so well. If he could improve on his clearances, decision-making, and shooting, he'll be one of the best RBs in the world. I fully believe that. And he has the time to do that.
Kaboul - 8 Great to have him back. So imposing in the air, made some runs forward as well! Morison and Holt are hard to handle so credit to him.
Gallas - 8 see Kaboul. Both were excellent
BAE - 8 liked what he did. I wish his crossing was a bit better.

Sandro - 8, Beast, beast, beast. An animal. Incredible player.
Parker - 7.5 Ran all day, passed well. I wish he was more decisive and quicker going forward, seems like he runs out of ideas around the box.
Modric -8.5 he ran his little heart out. Also was a magician as usual.
VDV - 8. that first-time ball to Adebayor was sublime. Like how he was unselfish and seems to accept his role as a team player. Great to see.
Bale- 9. Top 5 winger in the world. Only 22. I thought his finishing wasn't good enough, how wrong was I. Now all he's missing is a right foot.

Ade - 8 He was running his arse off in the 88th minute. How the hell 'Arry has motivated "lazy Ade" to do that is beyond me. Excellent hold up play as well, how he got the ball to Bale for the first goal I will never know.

Harry 7.5 Resisted the temptation to put Modric wide. A pretty fluid 4 5 1 .....reminds me of the 87' formation. We made one of the free flowing, open football sides (at home) look very ordinary throughout. With more/better shooting could have been 5-0 but I'll take 2-0:grin:

I thought Modric was superb tonight. Rafa played some beautiful passes. Walker and Benny were effective and solid. Kaboul was a beast, I love him. Gallas did well on the deck, calm head. Sandro and Parker were brilliant, broke up the play a lot and pushed the team forward. Ade did well in support for both goals, has good feet and Bale was explosive through a lot of the game. Friedel not much to do. Good game to watch, my MOTM was Kaboul or Bale - struggling to decide

I gave Walker my MOM vote - could easily have been Bale, but I feel that Walker has been given so much unmerited stick lately, especially given how young he is, and, like tonight, he is often virtually covering two positions on his own, that I decided to be a touch controversial :grin:
