Completely blanked we were even playing. Though I guess that says something about my interest in watching Spurs over the past year.

Was it awful?

By that token it is still mathematically possible for us to be relegated, and points wise we are closer to it
With us, it's no longer a case of the glass being half empty, or half full. It's more like, wtf is that toxic sludge in the glass?

A complete lack of urgency compared to the opposition, its not just this game though that this was evident.
Sad to see that the team overall lacks hunger.

Not in a million years are we getting top 4 ????
Yes you probably right...... but we not 15 points off 4th... we 5 points adrift. Anyway our inconsistent form is what stands in our way.... I'll still believe in that possibility as long as we in touching distance of the 4th place tram.

We are atrocious to watch , we had less possession than a championship side .

Yes our bench is weak and the squad needs refreshing , but we don’t even play a vibrant style of football it is so turgid and uninspiring . Saints are better to watch with lesser players

Do we play any style of football?

Spurs bring so little enjoyment these days. A spark now and again, nothing consistent. If it were a relationship I reckon most of us would have binned it off.

It's utterly embarrassing this football club going out in recent years to the might of Colchester, Middlesbrough etc.
I don't get what we are trying to achieve with the football we play we invite the pressure on but can't deal with it.
Last night we were outfought, outrun, out everything by them we could and should have lost by more.
Sad to say but this club is finished will not achieve anything other than be the first to host the Superbowl outside of the US big fucking deal.
So we now have nothing left to play for other than trying to finish 6th or 7th wow big exciting stuff.

The pundits summed us up perfectly last night with the words same old Tottenham flakey.
When you look at the league cup final on the weekend you realise this club will never sit in that type of company ever it's very sad.

I must confess I also didn't realise that we were playing last night.

Sounds as though it was the same old Tottenham with the same old problems and the same old talking points.

I just hope we don't end up having a same old summer transfer window.

I have my doubts.

No.
I posted something after the Southampton match to the effect that I'd like to see us play that kind of football. I still believe if you've got the ball the other team can't score.
We cede possession in order to exploit the turn over and hit on the counter but we don't have good enough players to do it and so it's only a matter of time before they break us down and score.
Last night we didn't have the midfield to break up attacks nor wing backs to effect the counter.
So we end up not really doing anything.

When Inadvertently saw we lost It made me think about the goal Gazza scored at Portsmouth during our 1991 Cup run. Nobody on that pitch wanted that ball more than him. It’s what we lack. Not necessarily his technical and creative ability(which would be very welcome) but his desire and drive. We have nobody in our team with that drive to win. Nobody who, when the going gets tough, takes the game by the scruff of the neck and drags the rest of the team to victory. For too long we’ve had teams who, when things go against them just give up.

No excuses now. We have 13 games left and Conte has all week to work with them. Let’s see how good a coach he is.

The problem is at the top. And the single most important remit handed to the manager is to obtain top four.

The cups feel like a distraction.

We went full strength last night but neither Conte or the team looked up for it.

It was almost like we wanted to appear taking it seriously but just coasted through the game.
