Its honestly like being back in the 90s.

I used to know a Boro fan when I was at college, when they had Ravenelli and Juninho. They used to take the piss out of us back then, and I can only imagine he was having a good laugh to himself again last night.

Consistently inconsistent and once again you've once again served up a ton banter fodder and mud for oppsing fans and unimaginative pundits to sling at us in the same old predictable way as we go another year without troubling the trophy engravers. Thanks for that Spurs !!

That all said, I'll be dammed if I'm taking any lectures from bitter hypocritical Spammer fans who seem oblivious to the facts that they were only a whisker or less than 60 seconds away from falling in the same cup to the mighty Kidderminster Harriers, and who this season were dumped out in the League Cup by the inconsistent Spurs, and before the Arse whinger fans and Merson et al starts piling in with hypocritical b*llocks, didnt they also fall to a Championship side in Nottingham Forest.......

I would like Conte to resign right now. We need a coach, not a manager, our squad is way better than our performances suggest, we need a different kind of leader.
are you for real? our squad is shocking! yes conte is accountable too, but our squad is not better than performances suggest. this squad has seen off 2 world class managers. a decent manager in nuno & now thye're putting their 3rd world class manager through the ringer, this squad is deffo not better than the results it is getting. it's mid table at the very best! only players that get into top 5/6 teams are hugo, romero, dier, bentancur, son ( although not on recent performances ) kane & MAYBE peh. the rest are average at best.

We need to put this behind us as of today-as Conte reflected, you end up playing a CL side in the last four which makes the cup very difficult to win. We need to stay positive and push on in the PL. COYS

The problem is at the top. And the single most important remit handed to the manager is to obtain top four.

The cups feel like a distraction.

We went full strength last night but neither Conte or the team looked up for it.

It was almost like we wanted to appear taking it seriously but just coasted through the game.
If that is the plan then I support it...we all know we have a unbalanced team/squad. we were never winning the FA Cup... Whats the point going further in the FA Cup and messing it all up in the later stages.

Avoid that distraction try all out for top 4... then buy players to compete next year.

For the sake of our own sanity, i think we all need to accept that we will not be in the champions league next year, and that it will take probably 2 seasons minimum to get this club back to the position we were in 3 years ago, let alone break that trophy duck.

And that 2 season prediction is based on us spending what is necessary (by that I mean the first choice players, not the second and third choice cheaper options) and that our recruitment is a whole lot better than it has been in recent years.

That means both Levy and Paratici need to up their game (our Jan signings look good so far, so that’s a start).

I have driven myself crazy this year because I thought we were in with a great chance of top 4 - i dont believe that any more, so i will try (and probably fail) to not stress about it.

I prefer to read the posts like yours than the multitude of others. I visited here in the 2nd half last night and decided to leave without posting due to the negativity. Also visited at the end of the game and still was as sad about the toxic negativity on here as I was about the result.
The world has ended or is ending for some people a couple thousand miles away, losing a football match or even a few isn't the end of the world.
And a lot of posters are repeating the same cheap thoughtless mantra and getting agrees. Its all Wink's fault, Kulesevski was out of sorts, Son was out of sorts, we can't be relied on to defend aerial set pieces but its all Wink's fault because he has let us down for a year and half? If Winks wasn't playing it would predominantly revert back to Levy's fault. As soon as WInk's is in the team sheet the negativity starts. The matchday thread when we are not winning is filled with this turgid negativity and it is deserted by a lot of the posters I have any respect for due to this.

And? Conte didn't.
Exactly why I zero faith in our transfer strategy.

We brought Paratici in to be the figurehead in a new dawn. To bring in a coach that would bring back free flowing attacking football.

Royal is looking like a woeful piece of scouting. He must of been Paratici's buy. I expect Nuno was on board but whoever thought he'd see out the end of the season needed to give their head a wobble.

I just hope the likes of Bentacur and Kulu are rated by the next manager that comes in.

You have missed the point completely but never mind.

I’m as sad about the result as anyone on here. We will get better but big decisions will need to be made in the summer.

Last night was bitter sweet for me. My father in law was a massive Boro fan. Played for them as a kid. He absolutely loved his football and it was a massive bond we had together.

Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Parkinsons/Dementia 4 years ago and his health deteriorated last month and sadly he passed away. Absolutely cruel end for such a great man. When he was in hospital I did say I’d let him have this match so in a way I’m happy they won.

Funeral tomorrow. That one was for you Alan x

It's pretty simple to me. We take a massive hit when one of our good players is unavailable as the next in line just isn't up to the necessary standard.

There is a huge drop off in performance and no wonder why we are inconsistent.

We've let players go who were deemed surplus to requirements, and 4 of them are now playing in the Chapmpions League with Villarreal (Capoue, Foyth, Lo Celso and Aurier). They've even made use of Albie Moreno. I'm not crying about them leaving but that's what a well-drilled, tactical system can do for players. We can't keep blaming our shit squad. Conte obviously needs time to get his message across but it seems to go deeper at Spurs. It's like a rot has set in. Yesterday Boro played like a Championship side and we were worse.

Maybe it is just me but I always care. I cannot get over 60 years of supporting the club. Bitterly disappointed disappointed that it will be a trophy less season yet again. hopefully the sleep will ease the pain.
In what is happening in the world and what we have been through, in the scheme of things it puts Spurs back into perspective.
