Terrific 2nd half of football, that.

To think Ben Foster turned down Newcastle to join Wrexham. Good luck to him.

Paid the 9.50 to stream on the national league site and was best 9.50 I spent on football in sometime. It’s a shame only one automatic promotion spot as both those teams are worthy this year and would give League 2 a run as well. Well done, Wrexham.

Thanks for spoiling the documentary guys. Was looking forward to seeing the result in 18 months.

What a moment for Wrexham and Foster

See if you get the chance seek out the incident in the first half when Wrexham were denied a penalty. The ball is crossed from the left to the far post. The defender has his back to the ball so he can’t see it. As the centre forward goes to jump, the defender pushes him over with both hands to the chest. Think only the ref and assistant were the onl ones not to see it.

Fair play to Gateshead. They looked doomed earlier in the season and now they're on a great run.

Genuinely classy post match interview from Ryan Reynolds as well. I went to “an audience with” him recently and he always comes across really likeable, mental what’s happening there, such a great story.

John Bostock (remember him?) just scored for Notts county against Wrexham, from a free kick in first half injury time. Good strike too, Ben Foster in goal for Wrexham.
There's a blast from the past. Good on him for persevering. I wonder if they still have a thread on him on the Crystal Palace fan forum. It went on for years after he left.

Bleh... Good for them, but in the meantime their netflix series opportunity has distorted that league into an unsustainable race. Non league football shouldn't have league two players getting league one salaries. Most clubs down there are struggling to keep the lights on from week to week.

Maybe it can go back to normal next season, but my worry is that now the expectation is that a club has to prepared to make a £2m plus loss in order to get into the football league, and that would kill most of them... and nearly has this very season. And all because a couple of Hollywood actors wanted a plaything for a TV series.

Bitter? Yes I am.

Sometimes... a lot of the time the ball hardly touches the ground :D
Oh true - there's a definite drop off in quality from the premier League but in relative terms, it's very decent. I watched Gateshead last season in the national League north and I was surprised how well they played at that level.
