Ac Milan have sold Pato to Corinthians for £12.2 million.

Awesome player and at 23 I'm Suprised other teams didn't go for him.

Would have loved him at spurs.

I dont think he's lived up to his hype, was tipped to be the next Ronaldo when he burst onto the scene, always thought he was a bit overrated. Although still pretty young I suppose. Wouldnt have said no at that price to be honest.

Massive injury problems though, and definitely not the player he potentially could have been.

Not sure being in Brazil will help his cause much with Felipao in charge of Brazil now, he's not one for picking much of his World Cup team from Brazil.

Do you not think this will change though? Seems like quite a few players staying in Brazil for now at least anyway. I know Lucas has just left but still quite a few remain and some like Pato returning.

They are staying more because the money is far better now than it was 10 or even 5 years ago. Dunga was known for picking more players from Brazilian teams and Menezes continued with this trend, but Felipao will IMO go with players who are tried and tested at the highest level, and unfortunately Brazil is not it.

In the whole starting 11 you might see 2 or 3 players who are plying their trade in Brazil, but i can't see it being many. Certainly i don't think it will help Pato's cause, if there's one position where the expectation to perform by the fans is greatest then it is as striker. If Pato truly wanted to give himself the best chance of being in the WC team then he should have moved to another european team, someone like Atletico Madrid, Bayern, Schalke etc...

He's gone back to Brazil to do what Adriano did, take a big pay cheque and live a comfy life and enjoy his partying in a league which he can shine far easier.
