ROMAN PAVLYUCHENKO'S Spurs career looks over after a training ground bust-up.
The Russian striker, 30, clashed with assistant boss Kevin Bond over his lack of first-team opportunities.

He even hurled abuse at boss Harry Redknapp — who was not even at Sunday's session.

His outburst is sure to be the final straw for Redknapp, who has long had his differences with the striker signed from Sporting Moscow for £13.8million in 2008.

Pavlyuchenko, who came on as a 92nd-minute sub in Friday's 1-0 FA Cup triumph at Watford, has yet to start a Premier League game this season after extending his contract last summer.

Now, even at this late stage in the transfer window, Lokomotiv Moscow are expected to re-enter the race to sign him having recently had a £6.5m bid rejected.

They seem ready to increase that offer to £8m for a player who has scored 42 times in 114 appearances, 43 of them from the bench.

QPR were also previously interested before Tottenham's original asking price of £10m scared them off.

What the friggin hell are Spurs playing at. The management hasn't wanted Pav for god knows how long now

Get some decent money for him, get rid of him and bring in someone you do want to play!!

As for the bust up, Harry's away for 5mins and already it's kicking off. Good work and man management boys!!!!

in what way is he one of the worse signings in our history then?

His attitude stinks. He cost a fortune. He cant run, or doesn't want to. Never bothered to learn the language, thinks he is a star player. I could go on but I'm not here to try and persuade you.

I know this waste of space has been one of our worst ever signings.

That's it Pav, pick on Bond if you're going to pick a fight. Just make sure Jordan is nowhere in sight first

well everyone is in entitled to their own opinion of course. he has been extra terrible this year in particular but I'll remain grateful when he leaves that he scored several vital goals that secured our top 4 finish when defoe and mutant thing couldnt buy a goal for half a season, not one from open play. As well as his vital goal agaisnt young boys which led to us playing in the champions league proper, as well as scoring goals in the group stages of that competition. That alone doesnt really make him the worst signings ever, if we were man united maybe

off the top of my head:

Postiga...1 goal in 2 years or something silly? cost a fortune back then
Alan hutton for 9 million
Robbie keane mark 2 - 16 million

Rebrov
david bentley 17 million!!!
darren bent 16 million - has a similar goal record for spurs in a 2 year period
dos Santos
Chimbonda part 2:-|
Andy Reid
Prince boateng - 5 million for nothing

and thats just in recent history off the top of my head, not even gonna include the likes of Toda, Rasiak, and Vega, none of them cheap when adjusting for inflation, and they did fuck all. Least pav was partly responsible for making the champions league

off the top of my head:

Postiga...1 goal in 2 years or something silly? cost a fortune back then- very poor. But 'only' cost 6m. Never adapted but only had 19 appearances.
Alan hutton for 9 million  - Injury did for him
Robbie keane mark 2 - 16 million - We made 8m or so from that transfer AND he has scored 100+ goals for us. So I cannot accept that.

Rebrov - on a par with Pav
david bentley 17 million!!! - Bentley is worse for sure.
darren bent 16 million - has a similar goal record for spurs in a 2 year period - Bent was a terrible signing no argument here.
dos Santos - I really do not like him but 3m and he hardly ever got the chance to really drag us down to his level.
Chimbonda part 2:-| - awful but cheap awful
Andy Reid - Honest enough player, at least he tried.
Prince boateng - 5 million for nothing - agreed

and thats just in recent history off the top of my head, not even gonna include the likes of Toda, Rasiak, and Vega, none of them cheap when adjusting for inflation, and they did fuck all. Least pav was partly responsible for making the champions league

All good shouts but some are a tad unfair. I have responded beside them.

Pav was still one of our worst signings imo though. I cant stand lazy whingers especially when they are not that good. He has scored some goals for us but the return for the money and the amount of games played, coupled with his stinking attitude puts him up there for me.

does champions league qualification offset the price we paid for him, leading to the knock on effect of us signing VDV. i think it does

anway the hot rumor is he will be out by tonight and replaced with Saha

Well its difficult to answer to that because had he not been playing his replacement may have scored a hatrick etc.

Not sure I see Saha as that much of an upgrade on current form and he is massively injury prone.
