Half time I was happy, I thought we’d played well and were working good opportunities, I thought we deserved more than a 1-0 lead.

Full time broke me.

We got bossed in midfield for large parts of the match by Fulham. Why? Because even though Winks is playing better, he would not make this Fulham midfield. Anguissa was sublime, and a much better player than Sissoko or Winks. Reed played better than Winks, and Fulham are in 17th place.

I believe a huge part of tat is because Jose doesnt play with a midfield its always bypassing the midfield, hence why sometme Gio and Ndombele seem not so influential because they are balling playing mids and Jose just bypasses that. We are either attacking on the quick counter or we are defending

1-0 up we never look secure and not just this game unfortunately, it was the same old story, we sat back invited opposition to dominate second half praying for a break and we only start attacking with some intent when we concede.

MotM. Scott Parker.

I was begging for the referee to blow the whistle.

That Fulham team is good if they can get a decent striker Fulham will surprise more teams. I've seen it all at our new sparkling stadium dominated by Southampton Norwich Fulham Sheffield United etc etc ripped to pieces by B Munich Ajax Liverpool its just sad sad sad and still have to see Sissoko Winks in the same team.

N'Dombele - MOM. Very creative with a lovely weight of pass
Reggie v good
Average Kane, Aurier, PEH, Lloris
Below Average Winks, Dier (missed header for their goal), Son
Poor Sanchez, Sissoko
V poor Mourinho Negative team selection, slow bringing on subs when he could see game momentum had changed, Dele should have come on.

I cannot understand starting Sissoko as a right-winger at home to Fulham. A good defensive player who is still deficient when it comes to ball-control, passing and shooting. With Lucas, Bale, Lamela and even Dele on the bench. Mind-boggling!

Jose owns this. He is responsible for the fear the players are showing when a solitary goal up in a whole series of second halves. He learnt the wrong lesson from the West Ham game and he urgently needs to re-evaluate the instructions he is imparting, and atmosphere he is fostering, before and during these encounters.

Bergwijn, Lamela, Dele, Moura or Bale (in no particular order) would be a more natural selection.

We didn't play sissoko on the right wing. It's like we play a 4312 with 2 of the 3 sitting and sissoko advancing now and again. It might work if it wasn't a 3 of Pierre, Sissoko and Winks. That can't be the 3 in midfield, it has 0 creativity. Maybe with Kane providing assists it was covering for these guys but now he's forgotten how to pass we're a bit screwed.

First half was great and second half we missed some chances, then Fulham got some confidence.

MOTM - Reggy.

Great cross for the goal and great recovery speed in defence

Sissoko, Hojbjer, Ndombele and Mourinho were a huge dissapointment today (Son too, but he's got a lot of credit on the bank). The rest of the team was fine though.

Another 2 pts thrown away!
I’m finding it difficult to understand the mindset of Mourinho and the players. We’re at home to a bottom 3 side who due to COVID can’t be that match fit but we don’t seem to want to dominate the game. We didn’t park the bus but neither did we press them. The game was far to open. Fulham had far to much space and time to do what they wanted to. We had some good early chances but as soon as we scored we may not have dropped back and defended but we lost any urgency to score again.
Our forward play is quite dreadful overall. Our movement off the ball is terrible and our passing is slow and ponderous with little attempt to really get at the opposition. I watched a Wolves game a couple of weeks ago and they had 6 kids 20 years or under, 2 making their debut, in the team and they were zipping the ball around in quick passing movements that puts our team to shame. At one point in the second half passing out from the back I counted 14 passes before we crossed the centre circle and then as happens far to often the ball was passed back (to Dier?) hit aimlessly long and lost. No matter who we play at no time do we relentlessly overwhelm the opposition.
Jose Mourinho is an experienced manger but I’m finding hard to comprehend how he can sit there and watch us surrender the initiative and not make substitutions to wrest back control of the game.
As also happened in the Palace and Wolves games the difference in the desire to get forward and score before the equalizer and after is depressing.
Made Regullion MOM. In truth it’s not that I feel many players had a bad game it just that they all seem to lack the desire to put the game to bed. The lack of a killer instinct is worrying.

Stopped playing? Could have sworn that Son hit the inside of the post when we were 1 nil up?

So what? Marine hit the cross bar against us, does that mean they were unlucky against us?

But Winks wasn't been starting the games before Christmas and the same was happening. When you midfield is set up to win the ball and only have 3 attacking players, you will see very few options ahead of you.
