Move to Liverpool or London.
Play with Downing or Bale.
Be managed by Rodgers or AVB.

The only way I can see Soldado going to Pool is if we aren't interested, ok they have a few Spanish players in the squad but seriously? We at least have some European football, a global superstar and a sexy manager.

Just a patience game, I can't see Pool going and spending money on a striker when they have "the best player in the world"...if he stays. I mean, how much interest is there in Suarez? All I hear is Pool fans banging on about how hes worth £50m.

Only Bayern and Madrid are rumoured to be after a striker...oh and Arsenal. I can't see why any of those would want him for that price, Bayern are getting Lewa next year, Madrid will surely go back for Falcao or find some South American prospect and Arsenal will just continue to attach themselves to big fees and names in order to show they are trying and please the fans and their dumb arse players.

Don't think the Valencia President got that memo.

"We never wanted to sell Soldado, either €30m is paid, or he will stay here. We were very clear with Franco Baldini yesterday 30 million and in the payment terms we want. Until the 3rd of Aug we are willing to listen. After that we'll hear no one."

The guy has a release clause of 30m euros. If someone wants him after the 3rd August and offer that amount, there's very little he can do about it aside from put his fingers in his lugs and sing.

The reports you are hearing about Valencia striker Roberto Soldado are true we are doing everything we can to bring the striker to Tottenham

Talk about from the horse's mouth ;)

By the way, I doubt the officialness of the account, despite it saying 'official'. :)

Liverpool cant even offer Europa, let alone CL...
The only way they can scupper it is if they meet any buyout with straight up cash (which will mean Suarez is a goner) and Valencia reject us until we do the same. If we dont then the player only has 1 choice.. if we do then it's up to Soldado and I still see him picking us unless Liverpool go massive on wages.

Think after 3rd August the release clause goes up again.

Like that, so no chance for us to do it on Deadline Day

The board have met and agree with the decision to reject Spurs' offer.

A bit more:

They are expecting to continue negotiating with Spurs even though Baldini has left.
They want the full 30M€ (20M€ initial payment, the rest in instalments) and nothing less.
