I'm still expecting it to be done, haven't seen anything which rules us out, mainly twitter rubbish and a few rags which I won't put my faith in.

Well, that was an hour of fun and games. (y) Now back to work.

Give me a shout next time we are about to commit mass harakiri.... Or when the wankfest begins. Either way, I'm in. :hungry:

madrid spur on ftl:

Deal is not dead at all.

Valencia want to maximise the deal, and are looking for, in their eyes a littel more in the cash part. Our offer is close enough that an agreement will be made.

Soldado has agreed terms in principle and when the agreement is made between clubs (expected to be this aftrenoon tomorrow morning) the rest will move quickly.

Dont like the term in principle, sounds familar. the plus side to this all is we are getting turned down with more time in the window to address it, rather than the last week b4 the window close.

So you've been saying he's a twat during the time he's taken us from dreadful football and midtable finishes to good football, and Europe every year , from Andy Booth on loan to trying to sign one of the most coveted forwards in European football. What has Daniel Levy ever done for us eh?

This is exactly what every news outlet wants, deal is on, deal is off, on again, maybe, bid lowered, bid upped, add-ons, part exchanges blah blah blah *MORE HITS ON MY INTERNET SITE PLEASE, MORE PAPERS SOLD PLEASE*

Fucking hell, this may happen, this may not happen - deals are complex, they go back and forth, you have your 2 clubs, agents, lawyers ad infinitum - fuck me even Football Manager deals aren't that simple anymore, just signing on an U14 kid to play for my team next season is hassle in itself so why do people think it's as simple as Levy rocking up and asking for Soldado like me just about to get a burrito on my lunch break.

Do you honestly think he's done for us something that another chairman couldn't?
Sugar brought us back from the dead never forget that. We were dead and buried.

If Levy stopped fucking around with players he simply won't pay for and targeted realistic targets we could already be title contenders.
The man is convinced of his own self importance and he's hindered us equally as much as he's helped us with his incessant need to bicker over prices.

If it's true that on various occasions that he himself had lowered offers then he needs to be removed and replaced with some one who goes after players they INTEND to sign.

I'm saying this from my heart - Levy is a liar.
To convince Bale to stay, to get AVB and then AVB to stay he's lied about signing super stars.
He goes through the motions thenbacks out when it's close. Regularly.

I don't want him to spend recklessly. I want him to sign actual players. Not fuck around lying about interest in the cream of Europe's crop.

Am I the only one who thinks that it was Valencia who fucked this up?
Oh well, I think we'll get him in the end.
In buy-ouy clauses we trust.

Baldini flying home without doing a deal is what concerns me most after it seemed to be so close. Fingers crossed its still is and will get it done asap.

I like the sound of Madrid Spur's post. To go from so very close last night, to get nowhere now just sounds stupid. I think he'll get done and an agreement maybe made today'/tomorrow.

Looking at this from a Valencia perspective - as they are selling their best and most loyal player they will want to show their fans that they tried to get the best deal that they could. Saying Spurs have re-negotiated sends out positive messages to their fans that Valencia haggled to get the best fee once it is agreed. I hope.

lol lol GROW SET OF FUCKING BALLS PEOPLE! Some of you really think Baldinio goes ovver there and in 1 day its all signed and sealed really? You Seriously think thats how a deal of 30M Euros is done? I would say that Baldini has made the offer and left it with them, that was yesterday, their board has conviened today and are mulling it over waiting to see if anyone else is going to bid before the 3rd deadline they have set.

POTL is the only ITK I take relitively ANY notice of and he said "any leaks will be on their side" so all this shit about it collapsing is simply leaks to see if ny other club comes forward, I doubt any other clubs on our level would have that kind of money lying about to offer that cash up front.

Can I ask why so many of you chose to read twitter and believe people who simply lie and repeat and reword stories in order to get followers and retweets? Are we not smarter to know that is all BALLS or are you happy to believe it all?

The company I work for has a lot of dealings with Santander, and Spaniards hold deep grudges and long memories if people dishonour them or make them look foolish, probably more so than any other country on the planet

So if we have moved the goalposts after submitting a proposal then they will have sent Baldini away with a flea in his ear and no chance of salvaging the deal

Just hope we haven't moved the goalposts

Even the Valencia president was quoted as saying yesterday something along the lines of "They are here to get the player as cheaply as possible but we really want the full 30 million euros. What has been offered is not far from that, we'll see what happens".

How much clearer can that be for you bunch of big wet vaginas? There was hardly going to be an announcement at 12:02 was there? They are in dire straights, they need as much money as they can get, they will try to squeeze every last penny out of the deal for their prize asset. They were never going to bend over and let us take them roughly without the least bit of struggle.

Calm down guys, we got this........

Scene: dark, dank basement

A spurs fan is strapped to a rack, head bent down, beads of sweat running down his face, shallow breathing...

A torturer is standing to the side, next to a table.

"Let's see what we have next", he says, giggling maniacally

He reaches for something in an open pouch. it is a picture of... Soldado.

He thrusts the picture in the face of the fan.

"Look at it", he says, "Take a good look. A deal is 98% done, all the ITKs are in agreement"

"No" mumbles the fan. "I can't take it anymore", he blabbers.

I'm choosing to believe that this is the plan though, take it or leave it (we would go back in if needed). IF he's actually flying home, any ITK saying he's on a flight? For all we know he's at his hotel playing Street Fighter.....
