can you lot give the pav hate a rest, at least until the game is over, then go nuts with it. its very tiresome, think the mods should add a selectable filter that blocks out any post that mentions pav at the moment, its Jenas all over again

Pienaar also looking very assured, very good return for him so far, linking up well.

I do think that Gallas, Pienaar and Defoe look a class above everyone else on the pitch (exc gk's), which I suppose is how they should look.

They just haven't got enough talent around them to hurt Rubin. Our best attacks have been when Pienaar and Defoe have got on the ball and linked up, but it keeps coming to nothing because Falque (who's worked hard to be fair) and Pav aren't sharp enough/good enough.

Good half of footy. Some of our play towards the end of that half was superb. All the kids have done well - Falque looks better, Carroll is classy and Fredericks and Townsend have done ok out of position against their best players AND with little cover.

Just makes it so hard for them to get the ball off him, I'm glad he's back and playing.

I dunno, Im trying but I cant see what im missing that the rest of SC rates about him. His 'holding onto the ball' I see as 'slow and kills any tempo we have', he looks slow and cant beat anyone on the outside and I think there have been a number of occasions where he could have helped Townsend out a lot better. Anyway...

Gallas and Cudicini have been great for us. Pav is his usual, Defoe needs to get in the game more. Carroll needs to learn how to pass a ball forward and with a bit of weight on the pass. Livermore has worked very hard but sloppy passing sometimes. Falque a couple of good moments but quiet. Fredericks has done ok but needs to show his man on his left foot and get tighter.

Townsend has been sloppy but I would like to see him at left wing second half, we need some pace in the final third and the ability to go past a man and put a cross in.

Lastly yet again we are overplaying the tippy tappy in the wrong areas and in danger of getting caught out, lets try and switch the play a bit quicker.

I hope we can see a bit more of the ball and create some more chances, still think a draw looks the best we are going to get. But COYS!

Has Townsend done anything right this evening?

He's a left winger Playing left back . If you didn't realise this then I guess you don't pay much attention to the spurs youth and squad . We have done well so far .

Lots reasonable so far. Pienaar and Gallas look sharp considering how long they've been out. Cudicini has been very good.

For the youngsters, Falque looks much better and Friedricks, despite looking like he could be blown over by a gust of wind has done well out of position, against their best player Kasaev.

That's the thing. He seems to think he is playing left wing. Possibly the worst performance I have ever seen from a full back positionally. And Fredericks is also a winger so that excuse cannot be used.
