There no-one in the cm position that can supply the forwards. Where the match winning pass from cm to the forwards going to come from? Iv'e Not seen us this ponderous for a while. Needs much more tempo to break down stubborn opposition.

I never understand why people get excited at Dembele coming on against teams which are defending deep against us. He doesn't offer penetration via his dribbling nor his passing, he really has almost no effect on these types of games whatsoever.

We're a long way off clicking at the moment.
Hopefully a run of games for the likes of Rose, Lamela, Dembele - might help. Throw in the missing Victor Wanyama and the irreplaceable Toby and we've a lot of work to do before the big month of February.
No one seems on their game these days - not even Harry Kane.
