He got skinned by Almiron - other than that thought he was fairly decent. He actually showed Almiron on the outside then Loris came out and threw himself on the floor instead of standing up and making the target small.
I don’t think he showed him the outside. He let him run right past him ?

Weird game, actually thought we started the game brilliantly and were just lacking a goal, was convinced Sonny was going to bag a couple the way he started. Seemed that the first goal for them, which i thought should have stood, then the heads immediately dropped and we couldn't keep the ball. After his heroics the other night Hugo had a night to forget. We're missing Kulu massively, really getting hit badly with injuries at moment.

It wasn't, get over it. It was piss weak goalkeeping.

I agree it was poor goalkeeping, but he got to the ball and he himself changed direction and was obstructed by the striker who had got nowhere near the ball.

Obstruction.

P.S It's fine we disagree

What a weak display.
Love Hugo, but what the hell is he doing trying to take the ball past wilson? Should have kicked it out of the stadium.
And second goal, hugo again, horrible pass.
Most of our boys are switched off. How many times did we see shit passing?
A shambles.

Just seen this again. I yelled at the TV when it happened, now all I can do is laugh.

I cannot fathom that Conte would want his players to make such a hash of an attacking situation like that. No fucking way. That is players shirking responsibility and going for easy options.

I'd like to say it's a confidence thing but given some of the players involved in that sequence, it's shit mentality.

Who has the better squad, Tottenham or Newcastle? How many of those Newcastle players would you take into our starting line up?

In the summer when Arsenal made their signings, plenty of fans were laughing at those signings. Has our squad now declined so much in the last 3 months that the the narrative is Arsenal have the better squad, and so do Newcastle?
Their bench was by far better than ours today that is fact we had 7 shit defenders on the bench fact once again!! So completely disagree with you on that one!!!

That's just bad from skipp. He could have played a simple ball to bissouma yet played the easy pass back to sanchez without enough weight on it

I thought the ref today tried to let too much go. It was good in the main but that was a foul 9/10 anywhere on the pitch, thought it was weak refereeing. Wilson knew what he was doing and even if he didn’t, he stopped Hugo progressing with the ball

That said, it was shambolic from Lloris and to be honest, he didn’t deserve a foul

Yep and I think/hope Conte and Paratici will know this.

Conte said lets see how we do once the games come thick and fast 2 games a week, then we will know the quality of the squad.

For me all of the below are not good enough for a squad that Conte would want to try to win the league and cups:
  • Emerson
  • Doherty
  • Dier (not starting XI quality, squad player mabye)
  • Sanchez
  • Tanganga
  • Sessengon
  • PEH (possibly not starting XI quality for me but def a good squad player)
  • Skipp (could keep in squad as young homegrown etc but I can't help but think that he's a bit of another Winks and that if he wasn't homegrown we'd not be giving him as much of a chance as we are)
  • Lucas
  • Gil (has potential but well off the level we need right now so not saying to sell but he's not what we need in the squad right now)
We seriously need to sign top quality players in the following:
RWB x2!!!
CB x2!
CM x1 creative ballplaying CM
AM x1
ST x1 another option to bring on with or instead of Kane

I just hope that Conte and Paratici and Levy realise this and are on board with this.
Add lloris and son based on recent performances. Ah shit fuck it only player good enough is bentancur

Would have had to been a first time pass, otherwise the Newcastle player could cut it out.

I hate to pick on him as he’s a likable intelligent guy but he’s simply not good enough for a team wanting to contend for honors. His reaction time is too slow and his mental fragility means that when things go wrong or he’s put under pressure he tends to freeze like a deer in the headlights. In the 2 big games of this week he’s had a hand in 3 of the 4 goals we’ve conceded.
Him Davies and co.

They're good players to have around cause they'll give their all.

If you need someone to come and shore things up or stand in occasionally I think it's not an issue
especially if the rest of the 11 is strong.

But when half the team is full of them it becomes a major issue. One makes a mistake and then it festers into all of them. Then what you get is a panicky performance.

For all of those in here that scoffed at the idea of appointing fast Eddie as manager.

His side was head and shoulders above i=us in every department today, and will with the right investment, will leave us in their their slipstream.
