Recall Archer from loan:

Archer; Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Naughton; Lennon, Livermore, Huddlestone, Townsend; Adebayor, Defoe

And let their racist asshole fans watch as Tottenham tears them a new one. Boom-diggity.

I think the back four needs some confidence so no Archer for me, added to the fact we would then have 5 GKs until January... Gomes? :ROFLMAO:

EDIT: This was a joke (in a way). It was my attempt to put together an all-black Spurs side that could rub their racist pig-noses in a potential loss.

I do feel sorry for Diakite, Konko and Onazi. To have to look at the Lazio fans and see them act like that, I have no idea why they choose to stick at that club. Some of these twats abuse their own players, I've seen Inter fans jeer and monkey chant Balotelli after he scored for them against Juventus - go figure!

My barber (who is Italian) reckons that he can't truly be Italian because he's black and therefore should never play for Italy and wouldn't cheer him even if he scored the winner for Italy in a World Cup final.

Some people in this world are just dicks...

It really is curious. Why would you ever play for a club with a racist fan base when you have the talent to simply hand in a transfer request and go elsewhere. Me personally? I'd fear for my safety in the event of a huge screw-up as to what could come of it.

we can't afford any more injuries, and with the home game against the Greeks to come and fall back on - its imperative that AVB picks a side that reflects the fact that we have two very important home league games coming up.

I would leave out Vertonghen, Sandro, Bale, Defoe and Lennon.

Lloris

Walker
Dawson
Caulker
Naughton

Livermore
Carroll

Falque
Sig
Townsend

Adebayor

I just can't understand why anybody would continue to pick Walker at right-back and Naughton at left-back when every single one of us thinks that they've been weak points this season. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is utterly insane.

You moaned about Naughton and Hudd in the line-up at the weekend and then picked them yourself here. Why did you do that?

Really hard to pick this team. If we loose probably out of Europe, but have to beat Wet Ham on Sunday. I want us to stay in the UEFA cup so my team would be:
Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Caulker, Naughton; Huddlestone, Carroll; Lennon, Sigurdsson, Townsend; Adebeyor.

Let's look forward and focus on the Lazio game..

I would play:

-------------------Lloris-----------------------
Walker----Caulker---Dawson----Naughton
------------Carroll-----Livermore---------
-Falque--------Sigurdsson------------Bale-
-----------------Adebayor-------------------

Subs: Cudicini, BAE?/Vertonghen, Parker?/Hudd, Dempsey, Townsend, Lennon, Defoe

Rest Verts, Lennon, Sandro, Dempsey, Walker, Gallas, Defoe for the weekend.

I was tempted to put Huddlestone in but he has had a good chance to show his quality and not performed. Therefore I'd go for Livermore even if Hudd suits Europe more with his passing style.

Swap Caulker and Dawson around and i think that looks spot on.

I think that Maribor won't win in Greece, which is why I would advocate us resting lots of players. However, if we do and lose and Maribor win, it's true we're probably out.

Trouble is, I think we'll lose with whatever team we put out, so I'd take the gamble of keeping a lot of our best players at home. But I'm not the manager with my job on the line.

Tough, tough calls for AVB coming up in the next 24 hourss. I don't know exactly when we travel out there.

Dembele is back, but I think we need to ease him in. We should take him as part of the squad for Lazio and give him 30 minutes in the 2nd half if we really need him, if we're comfortable I'd leave him on the bench and save him for West Ham. I'd drop Huddlestone from the squad altogether too, Livermore and Carroll now deserve the chances he's had.

I really hope we play a fairly strong team, I think we need the boost at the moment and as we say at the Lane we are more than capable of beating them but also they're dangerous and could beat us bad if we play a weak team or do not turn up on the day as we have in our previous two away games

This year the Europa is looking more important to us as a club than it has in recent times so we really want to win the group but at the very least we have to get through so a win would be fantastic but not losing is the key to qualification I think

Ade has to start, he's gonna be away for a bit anyway so might as well play him now. Would be fanstastic to see Dembele get a little run out without risking him too much and hopefully Carroll can continue to show what he is all about (hopefully Adebayor's inclusion will make a lot of the attacking midfielder's look better)

Anyway, I am off to Rome tomorrow to watch the match in the home end with the Lazio fans (so if you see a fan stabbed in the arse expect it to be me and imagine how much management my anger will require if we also lose the game)

COYS time to turn the negative spell around with some returning players and positive results against Lazio and West Ham

I really do disagree, I really hope we rest several first team players including Defoe, Lennon, Sandro, Bale and possibly Vertonghen as well given how many games he's played. Its not just one game after this we have to take into account, its two.

That's the priority for me, fielding most of them will only lead to a jaded performance with West Ham primed to exploit that with their attrittional style of play - you can just see them winning all the second balls if we are a little leggy.

Give me a better chance of 6 points over West Ham and Liverpool than any sort of result against Lazio. Despite our poor form and recent lack of points we still have a great opportunity to push on in the race for fourth and when you factor in the players we have returning soon enough we still stand a good chance despite the feel of a transitional season.

We have a good chance of progressing anyway if we beat the Greeks at home next month. Lets see the likes of Carroll, Falque and Townsend etc with a mix of some who havn't had much game time lately like Sig and Livermore, and of course Ade to lead the line.

I tend to agree Mr Pink, it's easy for me to sit here and say I don't think about 6 of our major players should even be on the plane, let alone playing in Italy., and that includes Dembele

But I honestly think we're going to lose out there whatever team we send - save most of our 'big name' players for West Ham, and just hope Maribor don't win in Greece

I'm one who wants us to take the EL seriously, but this battle is best left to a mix of players like Dawson Ade Gallas Livermore Carroll Hudd Friedel/Cudicini, Dempsey, Siggy, Naughton Hudd Pritchard Mason Falque Townsend Walker and the like, IMHO.

Keep Sandro JV Caulker Lloris Defoe Dembele Bale Lennon at home, so we have a strong rested contingent for West Ham
