So itk said both deals were done last friday.. HMmmmm

People should put ITK in to its context, its entertaining to read and similar to a newspaper article about a possible transfer. But whilst some snippets of information might find there way to certain people from time to time no one with any real link to the club (should I say direct link) would be leaking out the information willingly so ITK's claiming to KNOW this and be able to confirm things 100% are likely to be wide of the mark and those who read and take these stories as gospel truth are likely to be left frustrated and disillusioned when what was said to be done does not happen.

The best thing to do (as we are constantly reminded) is to take all ITK with suitable amounts of salt.

As far as the ITK is concerned Adebayor had his medical yesterday so should be done. There isn't any rush to announce him though as he wouldnt' be able to play at the weekend anyway.

Diarra? Who knows.

And as for Archibald's mystery midfielder...that's all very odd and I worry that it might be Joe Cole.

I really hope it's not Joe Cole.

1) He passed on us to sign for more money at Liverpool last summer.
2) He'd ask for too much money.
3) He's now shit.

Please, please be someone else! I'd prefer Scott Parker, and I don't particularly want him either.

Number crunching bottomline accountant or shrewd visionary chairman, the next 6 days will tell us the story.

So far accountant is winning, Loosing Berba and Keano without a replacement, followed by Pinaer last window and FreeDal this. Hands went into the pocket when the financial implications of relegation threatened. Even then it was a knockdown Kean. VDV only came as he was a financial bargain @ 8m not because we really needed him.

I think we only have Harry as our mananger as we panicked, Scrooge Wnger looks to be our chaiman's ideal manager.

Here's hoping the next 6 days prooves I'm talking crap, the thoght I'm talking sense scares me.

I cannot believe we haven't signed anybody yet. The last two or three windows were a shambles and this one is going exactly the same way. When is our beloved Spurs going to learn? Seriously, this is a damning case of a lack of ambition and then we want to slate people like Modric who wants to leave.I am telling you that we will be sitting here until midnight on the 31st and then the two Coles will be announced. I've got no idea what this new ITK is that has pissed everyone off, however, I've been one of the optimistic posters during this transfer window but today I've decided that we've become a fucking embaressment. How long have these 2 transfers dragged on for. Liverpool signed Enrique in 24hrs after agreeing the fee with Newcash. Our short arsed barl ed Chairman is a pathetic joke when it comes to signing players. No wonder 'Arry is pissed off. Fucking joke of a Club.

If Diarra goes to Arse, then Adebayor probably won't sign... meaning we're back to square one and have 5 days to hammer out some serious deals.

The Tottenham transfer circus is a fucking joke. I'd go as far to say that if we lose out on Ade and Lass then I'd be glad to see the back of both Harry and Levy.

I struggle to believe that with the overwhelming majority calling Diarra done and having a medical that he is now looking elsewhere, especially if he's halfway through a medical! If thats the case i'd rather not have him.

Actually this is an opportune moment to send out a quick message on this thread as things got a bit silly yesterday.

The rules in this thread are all pretty simple:

1. ITK discussion only please.
2. No Twitter.
3. No media links...these should go in the player threads.
4. No whinging about how the thread is run.
5. No ITK abuse.
6. No sitting in here chatting about this that and the other. We want to try and let the chat flow but if it starts to get silly then ITK will be missed. There are plenty of threads elsewhere for other Spurs chat so please use them.

If you think that anyone is breaking the above rules please use the report post function rather than further spamming up the thread with complaints.

Anyone who is in frequent breach of these rules will have their access removed for an amount of time deemed reasonable, and with the transfer window in its final week people really shouldn't want that.

Agreed, for me, a midfielder comes into the 'would be nice' catagory. A striker though goes into the 'must have catagory' and as such should be a priority.

Its happened with transfers before.

Hell, I seem to remember a few season or more ago a fiasco where a club signed a player, paraded him in the shirt and then found out he'd pitched up at another club! Palace I think it could've been.
