all the managers love JJ cos of his bloody great engine. but us spurs fans wanted him to develop as a player, aswith all players who have potential to be better, but he never did. Maybe those fans that say, he has never been used properly, he is asked to do too much, he always has to adapt his game - well this is starting to make sense to me and that would obviously stop a player from reaching his potential. a real shame, but now we have purchased and look likely to get more attacking players, it is hard to see how JJ will be used properly.. I am used to slating him for not being all he can be, but now i can see he will probably flourish in a clearly defined role. He will end up at West Ham, Man city, Pompey, Newcastle, and they will say ''go on JJ'' ''go and be our lampard/gerrard'' and after a few initial crappy shots, he will be succesful. a shame. probably end up at a top four club, maybe even back to us..

here's hoping he does it for spurs!

wow , must have been in a good mood that day..:)

please pull one out of the hat today jj
(as in a rabbit and a complete performance , not just gloss )

Mr inconsistent will score today and will go in hiding for the next month as per usual. He needs to provide more attacking support as we already have zokora who does the defensive side of things.

We need to sell him. Our midfield will always be poor as long as he is part of it.

We have sold several midfielders this season and I think we are suffering for it. Like it or not, JJ is one of the best we have right now. I agree that there are better players out there, but we simply don't have them. Maybe Ramos will discover a great combination in the middle when Modric has a few more prem games under his belt. Maybe O'Hara is the answer. Or Zokora? Huddlestone? Right now, though, we need JJ. We look weaker without him.

I think the fact we are relying on Jenas shows how much we are in trouble. The guy is not good enough for where we want to be, and not the type of player we need to get us out of the slump we are in.

I had hoped he would kick on, but the more I see him the more the faults in his game become apparant, and the gap between his good moments increases.

well according to a lot of people he was our best mid again today - I haven't seen the game - but on the radio they said at half time he was a one man spurs show

and during the second half they picked him and zoko out for special praise

as I say I haven't seen the game so can only go on what people say and as usual there are wide difference on JJ - I've seen marks ranging from 0 to 8

I thought JJ was good today. Worked back brilliantly in the first half to thwart Hull's counter attack from one of our many shit corners. Also put in a lot of good challenges in the centre of the park.

JJ was as he always is (IMO) moments of amazing ability followed by stupid mistakes that school boys make. This is why he get such a range of scores - he's not consistent!
