Show me the posts of vitriol aimed towards FDB.
He doesn't really provoke vitriol though, due to people who rate him not being irrationally biased and blinkered when discussing him.

Another Saints fan has had a breakdown because of this - but at least the other sensible Saints fans know that what you have said is correct
Here's what he said:
"There are some deluded ****wits about, how exactly have spurs made it so massive ? I agree they are bigger then us with more history but are far from massive, and far from as big as this tit believes. What have they done in the scheme of things ? In fact it wasnt long ago we were on the same level as them. Before our implosion. They have done well out of Levy and his wallet, but have never convinced me they'll ever effectively get anywhere mainly due to the attitude that they are better then they actually are. The only manager they recently gave time to had them finishing their best finish ever in the PL (HR) if they continue the manager merrygoround they'll go backwards.
Almost as bad as West Ham and Liverpool fans..... Almost"
I'm not sure I agree with that. I've seen plenty of level-headed discussions on Benitez and De Boer, with the pros and cons carefully balanced and acknowledged. However, with Pochettino it seems that a lot of fanboys have exaggerated his achievements, and throw their toys out of their prams whenever someone points out the reasons why not everybody is as excited or as optimistic as them.

"i don't really think pochettino is good enough-"
"OH BUT YOU LIKE DE BOER HOW IS THAT FAIR"
that's been the crux of every fucking conversation i've had on this site this past week. if you can only defend someone by attacking someone else, you are not defending them

of all the people we've been linked with, he's the one that has attracted the most hyperbolic and distorted support.
You do see the major flaw in your argumentThis lack of plan B is a myth. You can only change games by having game changers on the bench. Southampton don't have that. If you were man city and had negredo and nasri on the bench, you are going to look a better manager
True.
But in large part, I think, because he has also attracted the most outspoken and unreasonable criticism.
At least the football will be good with poch if it does go wrong, which is something I would of loved with AVBExactly. I would have liked Benitez, but could completely understand why people wouldn't. I thought De Boer would be a good fit for our squad, but have never once banged the drum for him. Even Pochettino seemed like an interesting possibility a few weeks ago, but of all the people we've been linked with, he's the one that has attracted the most hyperbolic and distorted support.
Any attempt at debating his shortcomings is usually met with "you're ignorant"..."you obviously haven't watched Southampton"..."you haven't researched him like I have"..."you know nothing about football"...."you just want a big name"...before attacking all of the other alternatives. Not once have I seen a cogent argument to justify Southampton's number of points lost from winning positions, and a complete lack of points gained from losing positions.
The irony is that many of the people that are hyping him up so much will be the same people that create a false sense of expectation. None of the people we've been linked with are perfect, but many of the Pochettino fanboys can't seem to acknowledge that when it comes to him, which is particularly irksome when he's the riskiest option out there.

I'm confused, been back about 6 pages but can't see anything on why people are sure we're getting poch... Has something happened?
JJetset - widely regarded as the most reliable ITK around, has basically said Pochettino will be the new manager.
As long as we are there or thereabouts (6th-ish), I think it will be fine.I think the appeal of that will fade pretty quickly if we're dropping points and drifting down the table.
