Aulas has gone out and said that they have received several "good" bids from PL clubs and confirmed that players will leave in the summer. This was from a Ndombele to City-article.

Well it's clearly not from us as we don't even start bidding until August. Shame.

Bayern Announced Hernandez for £68 Million on a 5 year deal.

For those of you saying we should sign some proper first team players in the summer, these are kind of figures being spent on first teamers.

N’Dombele? Would shit myself if he goes for anything less than £65 Million.

Those are the types of figures you have to pay to buy a first teamer off Atletico..

Although I am nervous there is going to be silly money in the market this summer and fuck up all the values. Assuming ManU are going to look for reinforcements, Real Madrid are going nuts, PSG will go crazy most likely, Atletico is going to have big money to spend, Barca throwing out huge figures for the Ajax guys and Jovic, etc.

And most of those teams (bar Barca and add City) are in the market for first team midfielders.

I think Atletico are set, and PSG will buy Allan, Madrid buy Eriksen, ManU who the fuck knows & same with City. Then we buy Jack Grealish.

100% agree with you, the point being is some lists have the likes of Sancho, N’Dombele, De Ligt etc all in the same list.

I know it’s a transfer wishlist but you’ve got to have some realism too. We won’t be spending anywhere near £50+ million on a single player, if we do I’d be incredibly surprised.

No need to set ourselves up for disappointment like we have the past two windows.

That being said, I do think we can find some value in the market. It’s not impossible to get some first teamers for under the benchmarks being laid down, it’s just going to take some really good scouting and a lot of luck.

It’s also a bit of a premium for sewing up a deal before the window’s open and ensuring you get your player. No plan B or C downgrades. In the space of a couple of months Bayern have taken care of the CB position (versatile as FBs too) for the next decade, with Pavard and Hernandez. Looks like money well spent in that context.

I agree with some of this apart from the value part. Only way we get value is if one of our targets contract is running down. In any other situation we are getting fleeced being a top 6 team in the richest league in the world.

Being us, I don't think we can get anyone under the benchmark as we have two things against us. First, with our new super stadium, people will think we're flush with money, and secondly, people would love to do one over Levy to spoil our happy mood.

Players we need to have high up on our list in their respective positions (I'm not saying we should go for all of them, just that I see them as number one realistic targets in the positions we might need to invest in:

Alex Grimaldo - LB
Joachim Andersen - CB (Toby replacement)
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - RB
Amadou Diawara - DM
Adrien Rabiot - CM
Julian Brandt - AM (Eriksen replacement)
Kai Havertz - AM
Joao Felipe 'Jota' - FWD

Based on the limited I know on all of the guys we've been linked with or could be in the market for, I think these guys are the number 1s in their positions. Depending on which positions we target or who moves on, this is where I see the best quality. If we have a chance to sign any of them is another matter but talent wise I make these the best of the bunch.

Also Danny Rose's contract is due to expire in 2021. If we want full value for him he'd have to go this summer. I wonder if this may effect our position as I'm sure the club wouldn't want another knock down fee situation with 1 year left happening again next summer.

These are my wish based on any position we choose to focus on.

I want Tierney from Celtic. He looks good and he’s only 21. Surely we could afford him? Would be a good, young replacement for either Rose or Davies.
