Rumours of Hudson-Odoi available for £43m.... That could be interesting as he would see the progress made of our England contingent but also know he will get in to our team

Chelsea and Their oil barron would never deal with us. It's a pity because I think Odoi has a big future ahead of him and he's pretty much stuck at Chelsea at the moment.

He could be available for 5m and we still wouldn't be allowed to buy him.

Diawara in the early 30s would be a real good start to our rebuild. Would slot in nicely as a no6 in our system.

Unfortunately it seems a bit too good to to be true. Price seems cheap and quite frankly the signing would be too perfect.

Always dubious when a player is not a first team regular or is that simplifying things too much ?

I want Tierney from Celtic. He looks good and he’s only 21. Surely we could afford him? Would be a good, young replacement for either Rose or Davies.

To be honest with the state of the game in Scotland at the moment, a defender is hard to be judged on his quality.

Real shame that he's there, because he's wasted, but Loftus-Cheek would be perfect for us as a dembele replacement. Him, Winks and Alli is a great mix as a 3 in the middle. Perfect Poch player too.

Doubt it. He's been stuck on the bench at Napoli for a couple years now since his breakthrough season and desperate to get out and get playing time. I've read he would likely have trouble getting a work permit since he's only had 3 appearances for his national side.

That said, as always, take Italian Press stories with the largest grain of salt you can imagine.

He's got Italian citizenship apparently.

He's quality

even Allan Hutton looked quality up there. Celtic where embarrassed in the CL last season and fair enough they had PSG and BM, but they only just scrapped through the Europa league and went out 1st round in the KO's. the quality of opposition in Scotland is so poor, and the majority of teams in their top league would struggle in the bottom league in England

It was even more shit when Kenny Dalgleish and Richard Gough played up there.

you say that, but in those days English clubs used to pick off their talent. very few Scots play in the premier league now days, and only Robertson is doing well, but he has only improved since VvD signed and he is dutch

very hard to put a massive price on a player you don't use, I believe he has hardly featured for his team this season

The point is that good players are good players regardless of what League they start off in, and Tierney is a good player. We won't compete for 'finished article' type players and Tierney would certainly seem to have the potential to perform at a much higher level, just like VVD and Robertson have done at Liverpool.
