For me personally, just got me more excited about Winks, Onomah and Edwards. They might be young but they offered more than Mason, Carroll and Chadli hell even Son. I'll be honest my patience is thin on mason, carroll and chadli and I think we should move them on personally the only reason they would be staying is literally for depth. Trippier didn't help himself either.

Lloris Vorm
Walker Trippier/KWP
Alder CCV
Vert Wimmer
Rose Davies
Dier Wanyama
Dembele Winks
Lamela Son
Alli Onomah
Eriksen Nkoudou
Kane Janssen

So for me we could do with 1/2 more and moving on Mason, Carroll and Chadli but I know that's unrealistic
loan kwp let trippier and Yedlin duke it out for back up and put pressure on walker

I won't single anybody out, collectively is was very obvious that there is a gulf in class between the first team and those that played today. When Lamela came on it made it even more obvious, he was clearly a class above the rest of the spurs players. I'm not sure any of the youngsters are near ready for the first team.

Ball, Mason, Carroll, Son, Chadli all had bad games, we practically didn't have a midfield for half hour.

son was poor
chadli was non-existent even for him both will need to raise their all round game and fitness severely

Not there, and not here. If he was a Ledley King then fine.

to be honest rather them learn in games like this then caught in epl or cl headlights and to be fair if ball or ccv had been along side a experienced player nudging and coaxing along they would have (probably) been a lot better and more confident

People freaking out about CCV, dont forget how awful Wimmer was against Arsenal and that was with a preseason behind him. 6 months later he was awesome.

Its not fair to judge someone after one performance

Also with Ball. Remember when Dier played in preseason last year and we were all a bit worried. One game doesn't mean the end for these youngsters.

The likes of Chadli, Tommy, and Mason on the other hand have had years to prove themselves and continue to show their same selves. (BTW I love Mason, I just don't see him taking us anywhere. Great utility player at the end of the bench though.)

The by far best thing about todays match, however, was the sarcastic "Harry Kane, we left him at home" chant by the crowd.

I thought both centrebacks were better once they swapped sides. CCV obviously the better prospect. It's not easy play Dybala!

I do think he needs a season on loan playing lots of games as it would do him wonders playing men's football.
I think CCV will be potentially fine given cup games and etc.

In terms of physicality the U21's is pretty much Mens football however the quality is dipping

The reason I think people are getting too way ahead of themselves about Edwards, is because he hasnt fully made the step up to U21's. Earlier last season he struggled a bit in the U18's and he should be given time in the U21's and play against men, as some of these U21 teams are bigger than our first team.

Why is everyone calling Janssen fat and useless after today. The poor guy got given nothing to work with first half, when Lamela came on and to an extent Onomah he linked up well and was quite tidy with his play I thought. Nothing fancy, held up the ball and got his head up to find team mates. Yes he looked tired but it's pre season. Poch has a pretty good record with improving players physical profile.

It was shame a couple of silly errors cost us goals, but that was a reasonably decent work out.

It's heartbreaking to see Onomah continually stuck out as a ALM and then people to judge him based on it. Still think he didn't do to bad - certainly offered more than Chadli had even out of position. Winks looked very bright, and we got a glimpse of why many of us have been quite excited about Edwards. No idea why we didn't take Ogilvie or if he's not fit (I can't remember if he's recovered) Muscat to play LB.

Personally I would have loved to see KWP get at least 45 minutes.

I thought Wanyama did what he does and had a decent knock, did well to win the ball for the goal and Lamela did his thing when he came on.

I'll be honest and say Ball never overly impressed me at Rangers last year, he's OK but has his limitations. CCV I've not been as impressed as some of the academy watchers are with him, he's definitely got ability, he seems to read things reasonably well but he just looks a little easy to turn and like he lacks that instant turn of foot, acceleration over the first 2-3 yards, but I could be wrong.

If Arsenal had played Juve today with Janssen as their new £18m striker this place would of been awash with laughter.

There is a huge difference between match fitness and natural fitness. He looked like he was towing a caravan.

Had his medical at West Ham i take it?

Winks did some really nice things but if Mason or Carroll had have made some of the errors he did (particularly that awful attempt at a one touch back pass) they would have been absolutely slaughtered on here. Off that performance he's certainly not ahead of either of them at the moment, but he does have the potential to be by the end of the season.
