I don’t get it. So if we are paying for the players we already have this summer out of the £150m, what about any money we had last summer? The denial is so beautiful it makes me want to cry

Arsenal Mania
  • I'm glad Conte is staying at the club, lets see how good he is.Makes Sp**s a better side, no doubt, and the league a harder place to compete in. Next season is going to be tough.
  • Love this man! He'll settle for nothing less than a chance to challenge for a trophy.
  • ? He spent 3/4 of this PL season trying to get released from his contract.
  • Conte is like that whiny kid that gets everything he wants as long as he cries enough. And when he finally gets told no, he changes clubs
  • Oh yeah that whiny kid who just happen to win the league wherever he goes, wonder why’s that?
  • I think they are laughing at us now, if they keep Conte they will be laughing at us next year as well.
  • that could make Conte stay. 150M is so much money to spend for him. even tho last season with January signings they spent around 130M.conte will stay as long they get the targets he ask.
  • i'm not sure if it right move to announce how much money you have to spend now clubs will ask for extra when Sp**s want their players.
  • Not laughing so much now, are we?
  • ⭐
  • Conte is going to sign a proper LCB, RWB, LWB and CM that will go straight into his first 11 and that will fit his system like a glove, that much is guaranteed. Arteta will piss around signing a back up CB and LB because he decides he doesn't like Saliba or Nuno. The difference
  • They know this is their best bet for a long time, so I think Levy is going to give Conte what he wants
They're actually being reasonable? We have actually broken them haven't we?!

I honestly think they have a chance taking Chelsea's place in the CL. I'd be gutted if they do.

If it meant Chelsea go to shit I don't mind at all. Would much rather arsenal there than Chelsea. They've at least got a good young squad and doing things In a more organic way like we did. Besides chelsea can win the CL as we've seen but I think arsenal struggle to get far beyond the group stage anyway.

I mean, is there even a scintilla of evidence to suggest this is true? The number of people who start with their preferred conclusion (in this case, Conte to leave spurs) then try to fit the facts or absence of them to that is just remarkable

Totally agree. I dislike arsenal and want them to fail out of tribal loyalty. I hate Chelsea because it’s an appalling football club, from the fans to the owners to the PR to, well pretty much everything. If I could trade arsenal getting a bit better for Chelsea getting a lot worse I’d do it in a heartbeat

That'll be Newcastle. If not next season, soon after. Just a matter of time. And Utd won't be crap forever and are still a bigger pull than Arsenal.

Some people still struggle with the difference between debt and equity I see :)

I meant with Chelsea being booted out. Although that is less and less likely with the sale going through.

First message I got was mocking that we’d have to overpay now as everyone knew we’d had some investment.

You have to admire the dedication to desperation.
I got “that’s not that much” from my Chelsea fan husband.

I replied “it’s not, when you waste three quarters of it on a sack of potatoes”. It went quiet lol.
