Incredibly naive to think that a club like Spurs would have one target and one target only for a position. We aren't Chelsea or United, we can't unsettle players like they do by bidding. All of your info has anti Harry vibes.
Not picking on you mate  but...
Whilst they may have paid double their initial bid, that bid was exstremly low, insulting i would say. they have it appears paid for, IMO about right.
Saurez led the line for Uruguay extremely well, I cannot except that "Spurs" felt he wasn't the one we needed, or worth getting, Sorry i just don't believe that
not at all, i am not anti harry & of course you are right regards the club having multiple targets...i have consinstantly posted such info & been ridiculed..
my point is H has failed to nail down one target, just one that we could go all out for..
i am not anti redknapp, he has worked miracles with us
But he courted Forlan in the summer. So he hasnt dilly dallied there. He is a long term target. I have said for a long time that Harry wants Carroll. he hasnt changed that. By offering him Suarez an option c or d at best at the risk of not having enough to buy Carroll (when Harry beleives he can get the deal done) wasnt gonna solve anything was it?
Like I reiterate from last night, I can only defend what I know, and some things that have been posted are totally unfair

Adie... We have bid for Carroll 3 times including yesterday, I have that as Fact!
sorry buddy
When push came to shove, harry didnt want Suarez. Fact. Where is the dilly dallying?
Harry moved on 5-6 days ago, I think as manager of the football club he has an opinion that deserves to be listened to right?
And if we'd had one target and been rebuffed what happens then?
In fact there is plenty of reason to believe that both of you are right.
I take it you both have different sources? Therefore there could be a different slant on the story, depending on which of the Harry/Daniel camps the information is coming from.
I think that Liverpool wentr in with a pre-agreed bid value which got tanked by the January window madness of Bent going to Villa for £18-24m.
Immediately Ajax think - hang on, this is our Captain and a desirable asset regardless of how many are at the bidding table.
Time drags on and Liverpool are made to pay the going rate for an asset in this window - over the odds.
Only my opinion but I honestly dont think we actively pursued him once Liverpool made it know that they wanted Sueraz regardless.
We went to plan B, or Plan A, depending on when we made the decision according to the timeline.
Now we wait.
is he suggesting would sell him, bale, if the price is right?
nic listen, take your anti adiepf glasses off will ya ffs...
i am not saying anything of the sort, however if H consistantly says we are gonna find it hard to get better players then how many can be out there???
not many & therefor you have to at least nail it down to a preffered target right...
if we want carroll lets get him, lets not waste the clubs money courting, benzema, rossi< forlan & suarez....
mate you know i appreciate everything you say & i am not knocking your info & never would..
I will cry, if we sign no striker this month.
