i wouldn't include woody in our strongest 11 anymroe.

No doubt citeh have the better starting 11, but their players also have bigger ego's. Lets see how they cope when things go against them in a few games.

city have better individuals but ours work better as a team and our players are better suited to the system they play.

Only worrying thing is that city are winning despite having a completely settled and gelled team

I think you are very foolish to not consider Woody one of our first choice XI, statistically in terms of headers won, tackles made, he was one of the top 3 centre halves in the league last year. Bassong has made a good start, but Woody is the superior player.

Triying to be as immpartial as possible:

GK: Given
RB: Corluka
LB: Assou-Ekotto
CB: Woodgate
CB: King
CM: Palacios
CM: Barry
RM: Lennon
LM: Robinho
AT: Tevez
AT: Adebayor

6 v 5 to us IMO, but it is all a matter of opinion I guess.

On paper Citys team is more talented, but team spirit over a bunch of overpaid mercenaries, I would take ours all day long.

Ummmm you may not concider Woody as a starter but I think most other people will, including Harry. As has been stated he has had a good start but he is nowhere near Woodys level in terms of reading the game and decision making.

The only City players i would have in our team is Tevez and Ireland. If we had those 2 we'd be top 4. We're better in defence though.

Robinho could play until the sun stops shining. Then Luka comes in.

I think we will play more as a team than Man shity. The players they've bought seem to think of themelves as individual super stars.

Adebayor, Robinho, Tevez, Santa, Bellend they all going to look to score to top up thier own goal tally.

Ok yes I wish we had the money they had I'd be a fool to myself to deny that but sometimes more money more problems only time will tell.
What I would thank Man shity for is taking us out of the limelight, there seems to be alot less presure on Spurs and I think that will go in our favour

city have the better players i think wed be daft to ignore that , and mark hughes has bought players that can scrap too.
but ...but ....is hughes the man to keep them winning ? i have my doubts.
a blue tidal wave is coming city will dominate in the near future. there is no stopping that.
but this season ? no they wont win the league or finish above us.

They're better than us, imo.

They also have good strength in depth.

They probably edge it in terms of individual players, but as a team we're miles better than them, and I can't see them having anywhere near as much of a team unit as we have until they get a better manager in.

Man City in my opinion. As someone said, it may take them time to gell, but they are winning at the moment and should only get better, which doesnt bode well for us. More of a realistic threat of breaking into the top 4 than ourselves.

I honestly don't think that we will continue the current form for the majority of the season, that is just the Spurs Fan in me waiting for it all to go horribly wrong.

But I do think that this year will/should be a very exciting campaign. I know they have only played two games, but I didn't expect City to win both games, even though they have not been that hard. The last thing that I wanted them to do was get momentum quickly because that will make there team gel alot quicker.

However I do expect us and them to be in the mix this year and I do think that the Sky 4 may not have it all of there own way this year and should be seriously looking over there shoulders at a couple of teams including us.

for what its worth, Man City will be the team to break into the top 4. If not this season then next season. The amount of money the have spent WILL come good it just might not be with Hughes in charge.

They have spent £200mil (ish) since the takeover, whos to say they wont spend another £200mil over the next 2 years and really challenge for the title.

I agree we have a better squad, but i dont agree that we will pip them to the finish. If things are not looking good in January they will simply splash out another £50mil on quality world class players who are maybe not first team choices that want to go to the World Cup.

They worry me, but, I do think we will give them a fucking good run for there money!
