We played out of their pressure well imo, created 3-4 chances, and scored two against the best team (imo) in the league. Even defended well as a unit in the first half.

One goal comes and you could see which players went into their shell, unreal. How does one goal make a team fold so easily.

Props to Kulusevski btw, thought at times that if he was in Mahrez's place he'd have even more goals/assists than he does in that side
Seen it in many games. It's the timing of the goal. It changes impetus.

Look, I'm annoyed with the errors, however we weren't playing some bunch of no hopers. It's the current champions away.

We do need to address our back 6, it's a problem.

He is human after all. I have seen so many of fans abuse him time & again in twitter. So, yeah he liked a tweet about opposing manager...whats the problem with that
The problem with that is when his loan ends, we pay his wages and a percentage probably are now. Dont shit on your doorstep. But if you can't see that I can't help you.

I'm almost beyond caring anymore. People can say I'm a fair whether fan or whatever but I've supported Spurs since the 80s and so lived through plenty of crap teams in my life before.

I think the combination of feeling like we were on the verge of finally being able to fulfil our potential when we got to the new stadium, combined with successive managers who not only serve us up some of the most boring football I've ever seen, but do so almost unashamedly on purpose, is finally just wearing me down.

Let's be honest, whether we finish 1st or 20th, the majority of us here are going to be spurs fans either way. But what I just can't take any more is being bored into submission.

Maybe some people will say it's a weird take after a "thrilling" 6-goal encounter, but I didn't even watch today. I just genuinely can't be bothered half the time nowadays. Slate me all you like, just being hinestt
Same here. I didn't bother watching. I think its because , as you say, the football is so boring.
Also football in general has turned shit. So many big money clubs, over paid mediocre players, expensive match tickets.
The whole thing is a bit of a turn off these days.

I like to find little silver linings when I can - it’s nice not to see a steady steam of Royal bashing after a game. Man has been massively mistreated by supporters.

Complete capitulation after their early 2nd half goal, but I thought that was the best 1st half we've played possibly all season. Our team is an absolute basketcase.

Lenglet slots into Spurs backline really well. It's normally Dier or Sanchez doing that shit. Thank fuck we don't have to buy him. Hugo looks done and dusted. His worst shots save % season since he got here.

I missed the game and this is my 1st foray into this thread.... I now know we lost via a gooner ex colleague....

Question is.... were we good or atrocious? Did Mr inflexible 3-4-3 try to impact the game in anyway? Or was it the same drivel we've seen since the start of pre- season ?

How to be Hojbjerg;

*Wave your arms around passionately*
Then put your team under pressure with a shit pass.

*Shout at a team mate*
Then let the opposition player drift into space behind you.

Repeat and add the odd *snarl at ref* when you think it appropriate after losing a 50 50 again.
You missed out:
*lose the ball in the tackle and do three dramatic roll arounds on the ground to blag a foul*

I think as you get older supporting a team makes less and less sense, to care about some blokes kicking a ball about when we have a short time on earth. I think we might be being daft.

Mistakes. Mistakes. Mistakes.
We keep gifting opportunities to opposition. Comes from the lack of quality in the squad and it’s the weak links letting us down time and time again.

First half we had a plan and you could see how we were trying to play.

We even tried to press them at times and caught them at the back just before half time.

But the defence got put under pressure and eventually it just went they way it always does.

Even changing players at the back didn't change anything. Panic was already set in and we just couldn't play the ball out from the back. Just kicked it back to them.
