Another tiny bit of comfort we have a team that has some elite players and some shocking players which means there can be quick improvements

It's easier to get to a top level with a team like that rather than a team of 11 average players

The following 9 are good enough to be in our best 20 as long as if any don't perform they get dropped

Romero
Bentancur
Bissouma
Hojberg
Son
Kulusevski
Kane
Richarlison
Perisic

Add youngsters such as Udogie, Sarr, Gill, Skipp, Spence and bin the rest

Sack off these 15
Lloris
Forster
Doherty
Emerson
Sessegnon
Reguilon
Dier
Lenglet
Davies
Sanchez
Tanganga
Lucas
Rodon
Ndombele
Lo Celso

Generally agree with this but:

Forster - has done little wrong - fine for a 2nd choice GK
Dier, Davies, Doherty - probably OK for backup /squad members as we can't replace that number of players but they shouldnt be in the first XI, particularly Dier.
Would get rid of all the rest

Thing is we need a complete refresh and new faces

I’d add PEH as soon as the panic sets in he amplifies it.

Yup. Time to face facts, we have too many players whose technical ability isn't good enough when they are put under pressure and not given time and space. Likes of Dier, Davies and Hojbjerg.....their technical ability gets painfully shown up when teams get in their face. Nothing about Dier or Davies is assured or brings calm to the defence, Lenglet won't be here next season so not even going to bother with him.

Hojbjerg is a sitting duck in midfield against any opposition who press with any real purpose. In those kind of games, has to be Bentancur and Bissouma. Just can't to afford to have someone whose resistance to the press/pressure is so poor. As the opposition, you can target him and from there you know exactly what the pattern of play will be and formulate a plan.

So painful having gone from watching elite players like Vertonghen, Alderweirald and Dembele to Dier, Davies and Hojbjerg.

Perisic cannot defend (end of) does not have the legs.
Exactly why Conte played Sess against Scum, but he underperformed.
Perisic is there for his attacking ability and crossing, but when we start defending a lead then he's not your man.

We played out of their pressure well imo, created 3-4 chances, and scored two against the best team (imo) in the league. Even defended well as a unit in the first half.

One goal comes and you could see which players went into their shell, unreal. How does one goal make a team fold so easily.

Props to Kulusevski btw, thought at times that if he was in Mahrez's place he'd have even more goals/assists than he does in that side

Thats mad, he has no future Spurs regardless of manager.

He is human after all. I have seen so many of fans abuse him time & again in twitter. So, yeah he liked a tweet about opposing manager...whats the problem with that

He’s gonna use conte as a scapegoat isn’t he? He’ll sack him, keep these same shit players that have been stealing a living for years and get some other poor sod into repeat the cycle! Just so fucked off with it all! End the season now! Absolute shithouses!

and what in the hell has happened to sonny? Hoping we’re not seeing another dele where he seems to have lost all his ability overnight!

this club man!

Exactly. He needs to play as LWF for us, not a sodding LWB

Sad thing is you can almost see what we could be, if we didn’t destroy ourselves.

Said it after the Arsenal game, there isn’t any game plan we can carry out without machine gunning our own tits off.
no game plan can save this lot.. it's criminal. It's so bad that I can't even blame royal. Dier is the most invisible defender ever. He's just a traffic cone that belches and you wonder why conte doesn't press, the other players have to cover these numpties

I'm almost beyond caring anymore. People can say I'm a fair whether fan or whatever but I've supported Spurs since the 80s and so lived through plenty of crap teams in my life before.

I think the combination of feeling like we were on the verge of finally being able to fulfil our potential when we got to the new stadium, combined with successive managers who not only serve us up some of the most boring football I've ever seen, but do so almost unashamedly on purpose, is finally just wearing me down.

Let's be honest, whether we finish 1st or 20th, the majority of us here are going to be spurs fans either way. But what I just can't take any more is being bored into submission.

Maybe some people will say it's a weird take after a "thrilling" 6-goal encounter, but I didn't even watch today. I just genuinely can't be bothered half the time nowadays. Slate me all you like, just being hinestt

How to be Hojbjerg;

*Wave your arms around passionately*
Then put your team under pressure with a shit pass.

*Shout at a team mate*
Then let the opposition player drift into space behind you.

Repeat and add the odd *snarl at ref* when you think it appropriate after losing a 50 50 again.
Spot on. He's not good enough. Very limited player

Saving fast, low, deflected shots at the near post is VERY hard. This was NOT a howler.
Sonny needs rehab.
Levy has bought 3 RBs for a combined fee of over £50 million.
We spent £60 million on Brazil’s centre forward. We haven’t played him up front yet.
We also paid about £100m for Ndombele, Lo Celso and Gil.
Levy has spent money, badly.

First half we did.
I thought the 5mins before our 2 goals we looked fragile at the back, and it just shattered 2nd half.

Possibly due to Bentancur not being fully fit yet.
I agree I thought we played pretty well and looked like we could get more goals but our defence is so poor and with the class of the city players it was always on that they would score. We have to change the whole back 4 or 5 and although most wont agree I include Romero in that. I think he's a liability in tackles and most of the time he just strolls around often being to far forward and many times leaving us exposed at the back. His style of play is casual and you get the impression that it's classy but it's not effective as a defender. The other defenders are just very poor and certainly not PL class and need to go but you wont get rid of in this window and maybe even the next. I believe we have enough class up front and the MF needs one more but the whole of the defence has to go but we all know it's unlikely to happen.
