I can’t believe I’ve supported Spurs for 17 years and I’ve seen one PL win at the Emirates, one at Stamford Bridge and one at Anfield.

The only time I can recall these happening (and may be because it's the only times!) Was kaboul for 3-2 at the Emirates, Alli at Stamford bridge and Rafa at anfield. I have a terrible memory usually but it's grim if those are the only ones in years because they weren't even recent. ?

I think yes and no really. Losing a derby such as this away from home won't define where we are as a side IMO. In fact as much as I hate to say it I can easily see us losing this fixture as we rarely turn up at the Emirates. Not only that but I think we have certain holes and shortcomings in the side that need to be addressed regardless of the result.

I'm feeling pretty pessimistic with this one if I'm completely honest and I think that is partially because our football of recent hasn't been the most convincing really. Although in saying that in previous years we've looked like a side who should go there and turn them over only to play like absolute shit and be turned over ouselves so maybe that doesn't mean as much either.

Remember their high press will suit us.

If we defend well, we'll see lots of counter attacking opportunities.

Very much a double-edged sword Spurs getting pressed. Ideally, we want teams to press us but as we found vs West Ham we looked bad when they got it right. If Lloris doesn't play we can't really afford to pass it around the back line with Forster.

There are definitely opportunities for any team that presses us to get at our weak links and if they do it well like Chelsea we will come unstuck.

I have a ticket but am sitting with Arse fans ?. If I survive I fly back to NZ on Monday. Right now I would take a draw. I hope we play 3/5/2 but I think it will be 3/4/3.
I went to the Saints and Wolves games and we won so I am praying the run continues.

Their game plan seems to be to start hard and fast, get themselves ahead and then just try to keep possession, as you can't keep the pace they start at up for 90mins. If we can weather the first half hour or so I fancy us to win.

As much as the myth persists that they've hit the ground running much better than we have, we curiously have a better goal difference than they do and have lost fewer games, despite having some tough fixtures on the road. We're going to batter these mars bars. COYS!

I’ve honestly not watched Arsenal this season, even on match of the day. But we will smash these little petals back down to earth. They are mostly kids ffs. The men will crush them. COYS!!

With the strike action seemingly going ahead on the 1st October, is there a chance this game gets postponed? Same for the Brighton game on the 8th, I believe they postponed the Brighton Palace game because of it...

With the Man City game being postponed, this will the biggest test as to where we are in the grand scheme of things. Beating Arsenal would be making a big statement, but we must improve significantly in our performance , for in my opinion, we have been lucky with most of the results so far.

Agree with everything except the 'luck' bit at the end.

Southampton - no
Chelsea - possibly but a draw was probably fair
Wolves - no
Forest - no
West Ham - possibly but a draw was probably fair
Leicester - no

Playing against possession dominant teams suits us more usually, I'm mostly worried about Romero getting sent off or something similar. I think Conte will make changes for 352 faster now if we are in trouble so we don't see a repeat of Sporting match.

Very unlikely, there are busses from Tottenham to their place. For palace v Brighton there’s one train line which wasn’t running, slight difference.

Weirdly, we are having one of the finest squad, depth and start of the season, yet I'm not feeling much confidence in this.

Had a look at all of Arsenal's home losses since we beat them their last time in the league. Not a pretty sight, almost an entire league have beat them at the Emirates since we won there (16/19 teams). Our top 6 rivals has won there a minimum of three times whereas teams who have been relegated during this time like Villa and Swansea have also won three times.

Man City 6
Liverpool 4
Chelsea 4
Man United 3
Aston Villa 3
Swansea 3
Brighton 2
West Brom 1
Wigan 1
West Ham 1
Watford 1
Crystal Palace 1
Leicester City 1
Wolves 1
Burnley 1
Everton 1

While we have failed to beat worse Arsenal teams, I don't think we've ever had a more suitable coach with our counter attacking approach and defensive shape. It's time boys, it's time.

Them starting off well, is also attuned to them playing 7 pre season games. They've gone for a quick start, in the hope of maintaining momentum. However, they have a small squad and there are a lot of fixtures to play.
