Hopefully Fazio will move to WBA as it gets rid of a surplus CB and gives us a better chance of signing Berahino.

Not only this but it means we will need Dier to complete our 4 CBs, meaning the CM spot will be vacant (unless we go with Mason and Bentaleb meaning we will be short on quality and depth so hopefully this isn't the case) and will hopefully mean we push for this.

Would be staggered if Berahino and Illaramendi came in this week but getting rid of Fazio could get the ball rolling and be the starting point we need

Speaking to some real madrid fans. They think he will take a while to get back to his best and that we can expect a few bad performances from him. They don't think he is anywhere near alonso's level.

No he's not close to Alonso's level. But Alonso is one of the best midfielders of this generation so it's not saying much. The comparisons are there because they came through at the same club and have very similar skill-sets. He's in Alonso's mould but not as good as him by any means. Plenty good enough to make our midfield a lot better though.

not sure why you think poch will need dier as a cb. It may well be the case but he might give milos some minutes in the cup games.

Poch wants a streamlined squad with players able to play in more than one position. Thus player will get regular games and you wont have any frozen out.

He seems very calm on the ball, which I like. So many of our mids seem like a deer in headlights when under pressure. His technical ability seems legit too.

He came under pressure plenty at Real Sociedad which is where he looked good enough for Real to buy him.

Sounds like we are at a very early stage with this, so no point at all getting carried away.

I'd be amazed if Levy went big for two players this window. We've been told players in the 10 to 15m bracket, and have signed two of them. So I reckon it's Bera, sweetened by a low price for Fazio, and that's it.

Mason, Bentaleb, Alli and Winks, supported as necessary by Dembele and Dier, should be fine. Bentaleb was a world beater on here during his contract saga and he surely will find his touch again, he's bound to be affected by recent mistakes but his confidence will return.

As has been said previously liverpool are totally stacked in that position. Milner wouldn't be coming from city to sit on liverpool's bench, henderson is the club captain etc etc.

The itk that the interest is mutual is very promising.
