@DanielCHillier last season we only out spent Villa by £500k in agent fees despite having Champions League and bringing in more players. I'll be shocked if they don't out spend us in agent fees this season, and probably by a lot if comparing spending per player.

Neither he or Romero have much pace but then I guess the idea is that we’d win the ball really high up and stifle teams. Whoever the keeper is would have to be great coming out to mop up.

In fairness Arsenal still qualified for Europa League, and both players knew Arteta well from his City coaching days.

Anyway, I don't think Laporte would disregard a Spurs offer. Stating the obvious - it will just depend if he gets better offers elsewhere.

The merits of the Scottish leagues quality have been done to death. But I imagine Hart has enough quality to do that kind of role up there, where as he’d get found out pretty quickly in one of the top leagues.
