according to roberto mancini.

Kinda following on from Dax's short lived thread really as it is quite amazing how well we have done in the last 3 games.

when he said bale was pretty much 50% our attack i tended to agree yet we've won 3 and drawn one without him (not including fulham chainsaw massacre)
we have also picked up 6 points without arguably our best player modric, and now again today without perhaps our play of the season so far VDV.

When ever we are on Sky/ESPN or match of the day the horrifc nature of our injury problems never seems to get picked up, I bit again tonight on MOD there will barely be a mention, or any real credit just how ridiculous well a squad is coping

i wonder who well united would do without

Ferdinand
Vidic
Fletcher
Rooney
Nani

Chelsea without
Terry
Lampard
Essien
Kalou
malouda

Arse without

van persie
fabregas
wilshere
vermaelen
ashavin

as for man city you could just take tevez out of that team and they'd be a quarter of the team

basically i think its time these clowns gave our squad players and spurs some major credit instead of saying how shit our left back/goalkeeper is, start praising the likes of BAE, Gomes, JJ etc instead of going on constantly about VDV or modric when it comes to spurs.

we arent a 1 man, 2 man, or 3 man team we are a 25 man team:bowdown:

....now if only we had a striker:wink:

We have been like this for the last 2 seasons.

How many thought we were gonna fall apart when Modric was injured at the start of last season?

We are a team these days with fantastic spirit and never die attitude. And our squad is huge, filled with talent.

Also, about Bale. We were doing just as well before he started playing a year ago.

Well we saw how Chelsea did without their big guns, it was around the same time that their poor run began I think. Mind you, they havent done much better since the return of Lampard, Terry, etc. :p

We are doing very well considering our injuries. COYS

If you took those players away from ManU and Chelsea, they'd be 5-7th imo. Arse have had alot of injuries and have coped well. It really does show how good the squad is when we have played the way we have recently.

9 points from the last 3 games is stunning considering the injuries. We have some more tough, but winnable away games. The next three away games are arguably 'easier' than the last three games we've had, 7 points would be a great haul.

There was a stat on sky this morning to do with players with the most % goals for their team. VDV has scored 29% of our goals IIRC. Tevez was the top player with something like 40% of man citeh's goals.

if bale is 50% of tottenham, tevez is 75% of city.

dzeko 27 million pound flop

Agree about Tevez, but it's a bit early to call Dzeko a flop isn't it? He's only started four games for them. It always takes players from a foreign league a while to settle in - just look at Berbatov when he first joined us.

No he wasn't!
Agree, he ended up getting benched a lot and it was touch and go to whether he would make it with us - then all of a sudden he hit form and we all know the rest.

Well, yeah, fair comment...but there again Adam Johnson is, like, 95% of theirs and Roberto is too FCUKing stupid to play him:razz:

Anyone think Mancini looks and talks like he is a bit 'special'?

He won't be so special if they finish 5th or 6th. He will be out of a job

Looking at the players on the original post Le Goons do have to be without van Pervy 75% of the time!

The good thing about this spell is that we know that if Bale gets sold in the summer then we wouldn't completely fall apart.
