People saying the players aren’t trying?…

Hugo - seemed to put required effort in to me, no chance with the goal

Porro - passion and up and down the wing all game

Romero - blocks, tackles, chasing and pressing high up

Dier - shouting and commanding all game but yes he is one who is a bit limp

Lenglet - defended well, we went to pot when clueless Davisson came on but no lack of effort from Clement

Perisic - up and down the wing crosses, blocks seemed to try to me

Skipp & PEH - outnumbered in there as usual, tons of headers and tackles and running. PEH going mad at Romero nearly giving the ball away

Kuku - did his best but in this formation he has no one near him to pass to

Son - low on confidence. Bad sub taking him off for Lucas

Kane - can never question his commitment.

So aside from Dier being a bit soft/limp and maybe Perisic arguably at best who else from todays game wasn’t putting in the required effort 🤷‍♂️

It’s primarily the tactics that are the issue
I agree that the tactics are an issue but I also think it’s the mentality that is coursing through the whole club.

Cowards, that’s the easiest way to put it.

There is an establishment that needs binning off.

Hugo, Dier, Sanchez, Hojbjerg, Lucas.

Too many mediocre players have been here for too long.

Watching them trying to pass the ball around at the back was hilarious. Proper clowns at the circus routine. Then Sanchez comes on to do Bambi on Ice

I just think winning isn't important enough as a club. I think there's a really poor mentality running through the place and I think for the new players coming in it's so easy to adopt that mentality.
On occasion the likes of Keane and Rio will talk about the old United days and how the experienced players in that side would pull the new players up for pissing about in games or training. It disgusts me how easy it must be to play in our side compared to that.

For a team that sat off to defend we showed absolutely no heart to stop shots or crosses in the box. Deserved what we got tonight. Created nothing, can’t defend

Players have let us down tonight, not Stellini.
All of them to blame. He could have reacted to their red card. He could have identified their control in the middle. They could have taken the game to Everton rather than play so passively. Levy could stop being a **** .....

horrible post, you say its not effort, but tactics, ever considered the players simply not good enough?
Suggesting I thought the players were trying by outlining that in detail and mentioning the tactics are exactly the same as under conte so are still causing the same issues is a ‘horrible post’ is it? 🤔 ok…😂😅

It really didn’t seem gutless or disgusting tbh, the players tried hard but they lack a bit of quality and also the system is restricting them big time.

Completely disagree these players don’t care, they were all putting in a shift. I’ve seen teams who aren’t giving 100% or are bad eggs but this is not one of them.
You are gutless if you play in midfield against 10 men and you keep passing the ball backwards

We do this to ourselves. Every fucking time.
What the defence is doing trying to play like the Harlem Globetrotters is beyond me, and killing us every fucking time. Lloris can't kick it, has no ball control and is nervous as fuck, Romero is overconfident and unaware of how shit his teammates are, and Dier is well, dier and the rest is history. BUT WHY do we keep trying to play intricate possession-based football in our own FUCKING BOX with the shit we have!!! Who is saying yes lads that's great, keep doing that it's really working well keep doing that@!!! FFS... it creates the total cluster fuck that is the rest of the way the team plays, everything off the cuff, no control, borderline lucky - we create our own instability and lack of confidence from the base and we saw that tonight again. At least six times we just gave it away or almost conceded being caught on possession but we don't LEARN, we haven't learnt from the hundreds of other games, its fucking killing me.

Players are complete wet lettuces

Pathetic through and through

BUT

Contes regime effectively continues and it makes all of our players worse on a minute by minute basis

I got to the point where I was in hysterics. It was so obvious a goal was coming - although not the way it did. Sometimes all you're left with is trying to laugh. Just bullshit.

The players just sit in the same formation same tactics regardless of the situation - it’s the instructions which are the biggest problem - better players will not improve that

I thought we defended well in the first half.

After scoring though, it was a horror show...and Stellini orchestrated it...

I mean wtf
