FFS Bony not having his medical until this evening and won't sell Llorente until everything is done with Bony.

I'm guessing if he was that keen on Chelsea he would have held out for their bid rather than coming to Spurs to do a medical.

Then again, if there was no hope of signing him, Chelsea wouldn't have bothered to match our bid.

I'm so confused.

Janssen is the key.

Yeah I don't like how this looks. Plenty of time for Chelsea to win him over.

Not really if Swansea really want Janssen, it would be possibly too late for them to get another deal done but if they can get Janssen from us it's saves a separate deal. Llorente is clearly happy to join us so they would reject any Chelsea bid.

A massively underwhelming signing, so disappointed if this is true. My fence post is quicker and has more movement. This is a desperation signing, much like Sissoko.

Remember how good crouchy was in Europe? This guy is better now than crouch ever was. He gives us a different option which is very useful. Personally I think its a very astute, if not exciting, signing.

15 goals in 33 games last season, for a team with less quality than we have. Sure he won't play all the time but he's PL proven and knows where the net is and that's the key thing for us here.

Don't agree with that one iota. Llorente is not a world beater but he's a very solid centre forward option. He is skillful, can score goals, bring others in to play, is an asset from set pieces, his touch is fine, he has a football brain and he is better than the player that he is replacing. That's seven things right there that make him a better signing than Sissoko. Sissoko came to us with everyone in football knowing that he was no good (apart from Levy & Poch, apparently). Llorente comes to us with a commendable reputation. He's not going to score shedloads of goals or displace Kane but he's going to be a great option when we rest Kane or if he's out a few weeks.

No, I mean CNN and Fox News, all mainstream media.
The mainstream media seem so far behind the pace now don't they. I used to love reading the BBC gossip column but now I feel like all the main media sites are about 2 weeks behind the info we get.

I don't often leave disagrees but I have to here, I think he is perfect for us, has guarenteed goals in him, good hold up play, will be a good backup to Kane, Cl experience etc.

He will provide more than VJ because VJ doesn't suit our style of play, we have needed a player like FL for a long time, problem is, with Soldado and VJ it has always felt like they have been replacements for Defoe, smaller in size and a lot of busy work but without the goals he provided.

Our system suits a taller more powerful CF or Striker imo, hence why Kane fits it so perfectly.

Disagree all you like, it's just my opinion. He will not be a Kane replacement as he won't be able to cover the ground. He'll be a big target man when were failing to break teams down....a massive plan B. I'd prefer to keep Jansen as he fits the system in the way he plays. How many headed goals did we score last season?

I agree, numerous other problems in regards to bias from both sides as well but don't want to derail or talk politics lol.

What I will say is this, in terms of football news, I don't think I have ever seen the MSM so far behind in terms of what is/isn't happening.

What type of goals did the Golden Boot winner score last year.? Llorente is a statue compared to Kane. Do you think he's been our No 1 target all summer
