everyone ignoring bruno uvini too who has just been called up to brazil's squad
o_O Do they just call up every single Brasilian player still currently playing on a rotation or something? It'll soon be quicker to list Brasilian players without a cap or call-up.

Mebbe he is the tits and in 5 yrs time we'll be talking of the rock-steady partnership of him and Caulker largely responsible for us keeping 20 clean sheets throughout our glorious record pts total unbeaten run to the league title.

Really?

That's not what this article suggests. He's mentioned alongside Silva and Martinez.

I am in Barcelona for last 2 weeks hasnt been 1 article in sport with a quote from zubizaretta, Bartomeu or Sandro Rosell saying that there is any interest in Vertongan. De Boer gave a interview on rac thats it

Wow, Bruno Uvini's been called up to the Brazilian first team squad, not the olympic or U21.
That's surprising since he haven't been allowed to play for us yet, and doesn't have much of a senior career so far in Brazil. Guess him captaining the U20s to world champions matter a lot over there.
Games being played in Europe and US could have something to say as well though,
leaving out many of the domestic players.

Bruno Uvini isn't a Spur yet, but we do have an option to buy at £3.1m which I reckon we'll take.

I think the Brazil manager has called up Olympic hopefuls tbh.

Yes, certainly the next generation at least.
Hulk and Thiago Silva for the olympics then? Bruno sure can learn from perhaps the best centre back in the world.

I'm not saying that he won't sign for Spurs, but this "Tottenham are my absolute favourite" tagline seems a bit over the top. Most of you probably not know that he went to see Arsenal - Milan at the Emirates. Initially he said that he went with Siem de Jong on an invitation from Vermaelen and the fact that Urby, Seedorf and Zlatan were also there made it kind of a reunion, but he later admitted that he knows Wenger has been following him for a while and that Arsenal fit his criteria for the type of club he only wants to leave Ajax for.

No one is saying that other clubs aren't interested in him, or that Spurs are his favourite club, but the only quotes from him regarding his transfer, has been towards a transfer to Tottenham and very complimentary quotes of how he would like to fit into our way of play and how we have every chance that he will sign for us.

Calm down Björk - good things come to those who wait 'n all that! ;)
Don't mind me. Mentally preparing myself for tomorrow. I'll be in full on masochist mode by mid-afternoon. A ball of pathetic self-pity, drowning in my own tears and feelings of emptiness. Curled up behind the sofa, spittle running from the corner of my mouth, snot bubbles in my nostrils, whilst my wife and children do their best to step over me as they continue on with their lives.

I'll either be coming out of the cold emptiness surrounding my very soul with the realisation that my worst fears have been realised by 5p.m. or I'll go nuts and be down about £5K by next morning having bought my wife and kids stupid, spur of the moment gifts as an outlet for my unbridled joy.

I'm in exactly the same place mate - already pre-warned the missus that this is one of the biggest games in my lifetime to which she replied, "you said that last week!".

Pah! What does she know eh? Still, I'm sincerely hoping I'm not going to be a miserable bastard round her and my 2 year old son as they do well to put up with me. Will need a holiday to mentally get over this season and prepare for next but I wouldn't have it any other way and thank God for SC to share it with like minded folk!

If we finish 3rd, I'm out for tea, feed of pints, moving champers from cupboard to fridge, watching MOYD on rewind and taking Monday off.
IF we win and finish 4th, I'll be content, pleased, but slightly let down. Put for Tea, pints, MOTD and bed for work on Monday.
If we finish 5th, I'll honestly feel the most disappointed man on the planet. I'll think no one, no player, fan, Manager, Chairman or whatever can possibly feel as empty as I do. I'll feel physically sick, like a death in the family. Its silly, its immature, I should be past that being a married man, father, and 30. But it will hurt as much as anything. And I'm on my own. Wife wont care, little one too young to care. I wont want to go to Tea, leading to a fall out with the wife. I'll trade pints for red wine, drink too much, too quickly, get a sleepy angry drunk, punch a solid wall, break a knuckle and go to bed. Then get up for work, witha throbbing headache, throbbing hand, and riddled with shame. Then sit all day in work like a paranoid schitzophrenic thinking everyone is laughing and pointing at me about Spurs.
I'll spend the summer whating Hazard, Vertonghen, Remy, Damiao sign for other teams claiming they would have been ours if we had finished 4th, and face further bouts of laughter and hysterics from my loveable colleagues.

****S

We deserve 3rd. We can get 3rd. We Will get 3rd.

As too, I suspect will Vertonghen. I'm sure he'd be quite happy to sign for us, or indeed the Filth (or possibly even Newcastle) depending on who qualifies for the Champions League. He's probably got as many boyhood teams as Robbie Keane.
