Welcome to the Liverpool Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Let’s hope Conte has some tactical trickery up his sleeve to nullify them. Sess played brilliantly in our last game against them; I nearly forgot Salah was on the pitch that day.

Not looking forward to this. In some respects it’s set up for us hitting them on the break. But I see us beat before we get off the bus….The bus of course will get the “special” Anfield welcome which is designed to intimidate and Liverpool always seem to get away with.

I also worry we risk a red-card which will impact the Arsenal game.

If ever there was a must not lose game for us, this is it!
I disagree.

I think we're all of the opinion that we have to win our last 3 matches to have a hope of the top 4, and then rely on Arsenal to drop 2 points in one of their other 3 games. So a draw doesn't really benefit us much more than a loss, as we'll still be relying on Arsenal to drop 2 points in one of their other games.

Hopefully that allows us to play with nothing to lose and do the unthinkable and actually steal the 3 points at Anfield for a change.

Our defensive game has improved drastically under conte and a small part of me feels that this could be a smash and grab considering Liverpool travel to Spain midweek.

Everton caused them problems on the break the other week and we are undoubtedly a stronger side so could be an interesting one.

You still feel that getting a win away at Anfield is an impossible task for anyone at the moment.

Like I posted in another thread, I'd go 4-5-1, sit deep and hit them on the counter.

Kulu and Son need to protect the full-backs though.

Incredible difference at WB position between two teams, don't think we will be able to handle their crosses and set pieces.

It's going to be a long week. We might get lucky-Liverpool may get injuries to their entire team midweek and have to play youngsters against us. Or maybe the Scouse supporters might nick the tyres of the Liverpool team plane and they can't get home until Sunday.

In 1999, Manchester United won a treble. They missed out on the quadruple because they lost in the League Cup to Spurs.

In 2019, Manchester City won a treble. They missed out on the quadruple because they lost in the Champions League to Spurs.

In 2022, Liverpool are going for the quadruple...

Here's hoping history repeats itself.

In general, I don't think Liverpool have been playing that well recently, but thanks to the hallmark of a good team, they have been grinding out results. All the pressure is on them to keep up with Man City and get a result, which could potentially play into our hands

Already voted for a loss, no need for teamsheets.
If we had two decent wbs, I would have some hope. But we don't, and the only way I see a win is through a huge slice of luck like an early red for the Redmen.

But COYS, miracles can happen etc etc
