I just wish journalists would have the balls to call him out on this crap. The return game earlier in season we went toe to toe with them and it was probably one one of the best games in the league this year and we should of beat them. Or why Jurgen if defending not so important have you spent more on keeper and 2 centre halves, than you have on Salah, Mane, Diaz, Firmino and Jota combined.

Comparison time again.

I and many others have noted previously how Klopp and Guardiola's first seasons went down and how it took time for them to gain consistency.

Well, Conte is showing the same signs as Klopp in the big games.

Each time we have played City and Liverpool we have looked committed, disciplined and been able to cut them open, taking advantage of their weaknesses when they press high.

One of Klopp's biggest early signs - of what he could do when backed and given time - was his wins over City. They beat a pre-Guardiola City 4-1 and 1-0 in his first season, then beat them 1-0 and drew 1-1 in Guardiola's first season. The following season they thrashed them in the CL.

From what I can recall, Liverpool were very good in the big games but would often lose games to the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth and Palace, throwinh away silly leads.

Conte has got us into a situation where we are well organised and up for the big clashes, which is a great sign.

The problem is against the teams where you need to take it to them and can't let your concentration drop. You are always going to have more concentration against the bigger teams because the occasion demands it, however it's also very easy for resolve to be broken and we are not seeing that. Fantastic.

The issue now is fixing those silly defeats, like Klopp and Liverpool experienced. The only way Klopp was able to do that was by investing significantly in the spine of the team and getting better depth.

What about the 4 games v Chelsea?

I think people are being a bit harsh on Klopp, I didn't think his interview was that bad if a bit ungracious at times but you have to remember he'd just lost the title. They started the day as the team with the momentum over City and it all went up in smoke along with the dream of the quadruple, he must have been shattered.
