But we need to win, unless i am missing something what does a draw do for us? Losing or drawing still mean that we need to beat the scum and hope that they drop points to someone? If ever there was a must not lose game for us, this is it!
This is true - however I'd much prefer to go into the NLD having held Liverpool at Anfield, than off the back of a defeat.I disagree.
I think we're all of the opinion that we have to win our last 3 matches to have a hope of the top 4, and then rely on Arsenal to drop 2 points in one of their other 3 games. So a draw doesn't really benefit us much more than a loss, as we'll still be relying on Arsenal to drop 2 points in one of their other games.
Hopefully that allows us to play with nothing to lose and do the unthinkable and actually steal the 3 points at Anfield for a change.
Agree. Given 4th was ours to lose, it's a massive shame that we go into this being a must win.Sadly a draw isn’t much use to us.
It is a terrible record and I have witnessed quite a few hammerings at Anfield BUTWe have a terrible record against them, compounded by playing at Anfield. This one is a write-off.
Ooooh I like this lolIn 1999, Manchester United won a treble. They missed out on the quadruple because they lost in the League Cup to Spurs.
In 2019, Manchester City won a treble. They missed out on the quadruple because they lost in the Champions League to Spurs.
In 2022, Liverpool are going for the quadruple...
Here's hoping history repeats itself.
Agree. I think Arsenal's last two games might be harder than people think, esp if Everton are fighting relegation on last day.The way I see it is, assuming we do the bare minimum (beating arsenal, Norwich and Burnley) then we have four chances to snatch 4th.
Spurs vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs Leeds
Newcastle vs Arsenal
Arsenal vs Everton
In my opinion, this game is the chance with the least possibility of an upset. It is the hardest game in world football right now so I won’t be too upset if the most likely result happens, they’re just a great team.

Your right there were some close fought encounters , in the 2-1 loss think the last minute Toby own goal , no fault of his own , was very unfortunate. For sure that is tough viewing, but the margins aren't so big and I recall many of those games us holding our own to some degree.
