Of course, and how do you think Conte's pitch side reactions look to opposing fans?

Fair enough, but Conte looks like a little bloke in a wig who's had too much Fanta, whereas Klopp looks like he's trying to be Rocky or Conan the Barbarian or some such macho shit. And he's a **** when he doesn't get his own way.

I just watched motd too - more sober head this morning. Brilliantly defended by us throughout. As someone else pointed out: three shots from 27(?) were the only ones on target… bet they’re all aching like buggery this morning… I went into the game thinking we could nick it… but, really, getting such a well fought result at anfield is brilliant

Yes, I thought we were all amazing on the night and I'm so proud of all of them, even those who I've been critical of previously. So close, yet so far to pulling off the result of the season to shake up the world.

Bet Arsenal fans are pissed off. Were looking forward to a drubbing.
Same as we were when they played Chelsea and that prick put out Chelsea reserves.

Not sure if it has been highlighted or challenged earlier but from the view points I have seen Diaz’s shot was going wide. So why is it not chalked up as an own goal?

But you probably liked the blatant elbow from Fabinho on Son didn't you Klopp.

Most football fans around know that if that is the other way around, and let's say Davies does that to Salah in the 79th minute we all know that you race accross to the VAR monitor and upgrade that to a red in the hope that the one man advantage sees Liverpool win in the last 10 mins or so. Why didn't the VAR ask you to go over and take a look at it to reconsider your decision ? How can he not have meant it ? He had clear sight of Son and could see him coming he knew what he was doing and it was deliberate and dangerous play.

This is frankly what annoys the hell out of fans who don't follow Liverpool or Man United. VAR is not applied consistently and it tends to favour them. I guarantee in any other case a player not from one of those teams gets that upgraded to a red card and they're off with a 3 game ban to go with it.

Spot on. I don't think VAR was even involved. What a shock. It's Fabinho's job to either push players over or kick them as surreptitiously as he can get away with. Sadly, there are a number of these types of players around in the modern game.

Like when Kane could’ve snapped Robertson’s shin in the home game against them? Var looked and left it as a yellow.

I think we just have pretty shit refs mate...fans just like to play the biased refs/victim/conspiracy card.

The refereeing in that game was among the worst I've seen at this level. And that went both ways.

Correct me if i'm wrong, (and I probably am) but doesn't that point guarantee us 5th?
Yep,
Absolutely correct, my point is that all of the above would have been true also if we would have lost today. Hence, what would normally be a really good result at Anfield is at this stage of the season to little use in the table.
It's true one point probably won't be enough, and we deserved two for such a spirited display ?
However I still see it as a point gained as I was absolutely certain we would lose. Even when we scored I expected us to lose.
But it's also true this point has a slight but realistic chance of being crucial.
Arsenal getting 6 from 4 and us getting 7 from 3 for example is distinctly possible if unlikely.

Looking at that Liverpool goal again it was going a yard wide of the left hand post until that fortunate deflection

Not sure why everyone is getting wound up by Klopp’s reaction. It’s just sour grapes and he’s always like that when things don’t go his way. It’s designed to deflect from their performance, Mourinho used to do this all the time.

It’s theatre for the media. Anyone with a brain knows that’s how you play against Liverpool.

Just seen that they're the bottom two ranked players from the match on the BBC.

We really do have agendas against certain players. Emerson was immense yesterday! And it wasn't Bentacour's finest outing.
Both got a 9 from Ally G. Bentancur 7, Kane a 6..

Comparison time again.

I and many others have noted previously how Klopp and Guardiola's first seasons went down and how it took time for them to gain consistency.

Well, Conte is showing the same signs as Klopp in the big games.

Each time we have played City and Liverpool we have looked committed, disciplined and been able to cut them open, taking advantage of their weaknesses when they press high.

One of Klopp's biggest early signs - of what he could do when backed and given time - was his wins over City. They beat a pre-Guardiola City 4-1 and 1-0 in his first season, then beat them 1-0 and drew 1-1 in Guardiola's first season. The following season they thrashed them in the CL.

From what I can recall, Liverpool were very good in the big games but would often lose games to the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth and Palace, throwinh away silly leads.

Conte has got us into a situation where we are well organised and up for the big clashes, which is a great sign.

The problem is against the teams where you need to take it to them and can't let your concentration drop. You are always going to have more concentration against the bigger teams because the occasion demands it, however it's also very easy for resolve to be broken and we are not seeing that. Fantastic.

The issue now is fixing those silly defeats, like Klopp and Liverpool experienced. The only way Klopp was able to do that was by investing significantly in the spine of the team and getting better depth.

Genuinely don’t understand Klopp’s comments (other than them being very bitter) about ‘not liking that kind of football’. It’s not like we didn’t try to break out more often but Liverpool’s counter-press last night was superb. Does Klopp expect us to just tell Kane and Son and Kulu to stand idle on the halfway line in order to give their players the freedom of our third of the pitch?! What a knob.

Whether he likes counter attacking football or not, but for a lucky deflection he changed nothing in his system to counter the set-up of Spurs, this despite saying "we knew all week hw they would play".

It's for him to have his players break down and find a way through and score, and not our sides onus to wave them through.

Hopefully we’ve stopped Liverpool winning the PL. . I’ll be cheering RM to victory and if Chelsea win the FAC , I’ll have great joy seeing Klopp moan his way through every interviewer.
