Apparently 2 rounds of fixtures to be postponed. Not sure how true that is. Nit sure how that would effect European games. Assume they will still go ahead. Which is a big plus for us. Almost means we won't play city until much later in the season which could be another plus. I'm sure we will hear more soon.

If queen dies, no sporting events take place until after the funeral.
Not sure what would happen about the Cl game away in Portugal next week.

The schedule is already hectic due to the WC, i doubt they will want to add another 2 fixtures

I don't understand what's so wrong with just having a minute's silence and wearing black armbands.

We are supposed to be living in a free country where a huge proportion of the population does not care about the Monarchy... oh well

Not that I think they should, but I’d be surprised if the games aren’t suspended this weekend

"After the death of George VI in 1952, rugby and hockey fixtures were called off, while football matches went ahead.
Fans sang Abide With Me and the national anthem before kick off."

I'm reading that Operation London Bridge has a 9 day mourning period during which all sport will be suspended . So no CL, and no games next weekend if that's right. Which would mean there's literally not enough weeks to play the CL games and we might be looking at a 4 game week at some point. If that's enforced of course. Very difficult decisions.

Bit weird if UEFA let us have this week off but wouldn’t when our building was a infectious hotbed.

reckon Prem gets cancelled though.

I have no idea how this works but do they have that power when the game is in Portugal?

No of course not. It would be purely up to UEFA whether the game goes ahead.

Doesn't exactly seem fair on the Portuguese to have their football schedule screwed up because of the death of someone in another country.

Honestly tho, when on earth would they get played if they are postponed. Don’t see how it happens this year.
