Completely agree mate.

Like you said, after his very brief debut it was all "He has no pace" etc etc. Today he showed his qualities, defensively but also on the ball he was very good and his assist for Kanes winner was a perfectly weighted floated cross. His weight of pass even in tight areas is exceptional.

The Lloris hate pisses me off most as he's never been good with his feet so why we keep putting him in situations he's never been comfortable with beggars belief. However he's easily won us way more points with his saves over the years than he has cost us points. He's our captain and an extremely good goalkeeper. Yet if he does make a mistake the "Need to replace Hugo" comments start up again.

As you say, annoying.

He came up with a world class save but I'm still concerned at his flapping when I believe he could make an attempt to hold the ball.

No. No he isn’t. You’re reacting to a post that totally misrepresented what he was saying. He actually said we can’t play like that every week. Don’t let yourself get dragged into that.

But fuck it. If I’m being honest, I keep defending them because people are just outright talking bollocks about it and it’s pointless, some people just plain twist things to put to put the boot in.

Souness has actually been really good tonight and given us plenty of praise. Plenty.

Ok fair enough. I haven’t watched the after match bit yet. We played the perfect game and could he been 4 1 up if circumstances had prevailed. I love seeing guardiola and Man City lose to us. Right up there after the usual adversaries

Right, think this is the third time I've left the pub early this season due to a late equaliser, only to then go and miss a Spurs winner.

I'm a twit, but also think I need a thank you. Think I'm cursed :banghead:

Oh come on. He was talking about us and the game we watched. 95% of other teams doesn’t come into it. He was spot on and that aside all of them gave us plenty of praise.
There was no need to say they can't play like this in other games, it's not relevant.

Man City force the opposition to play a certain way, this is not new and certainly won't be the last time a team uses this template against them. They are used to it.

He didn't offer any insight at all.

City claiming they should have won the game because they had most of the ball and did most of the attacking is understandable but sad. What they need to understand is that, self evidently, our defending was better than their attacking and our attacking was better than their defending, their two goals came from a bad mistake by our keeper and a penalty, they never really broke us down and got through us otherwise.
Understandable? Nah, it's bollocks. Their whole game plan revolves around keeping their opponents pinned in their own half with no opportunity to keep the ball due to their relentless press. The only way to do this is to keep a ridiculously high line. A ridiculously high line will give Kane and son opportunities to create something over and over again (same happened against Liverpool but we didn't take the chances). Our team is the perfect antidote to this set up. With our forward line we'll win against them as much as they will against us playing like this. Chelsea on the other hand...

I had tickets in the City end and could not believe their arrogance and the manner they dismiss us as shite.. The Kane winner was wonderful and I skipped out of the ground down to the tram and still they were saying we're just a bunch of cockney bastards... Love it COYS

Nice. Did it once (man u end in the league cup final). Ever since decided I'd rather watch it in the pub.

Today's incredible performance and result has led me to believe I have spent my entire life supporting the craziest football team in the country. Three consecutive losses playing absolute horse shit, with a trip to the best team in Europe who are on a vicious winning streak...and we've 'Leicestered' them!

Where the fuck did that come from?

What a performance! What a performance from our defence and especially from Kane, the world master. Hand on heart, if anyone put money on us winning there today, I take my hat off to you, and hope you enjoy your winnings!

What amazing heart we had today. NEVER gave up. Dier and Romero at the back were just ridiculous.

(We'll probably get done away to Burnley Wednesday now) :) (y)
