Villas-Boas does have an ubelievable record at Porto so far, running away with the title this season. He could bring Falcao with him too if he wants...

Im still don't understand why anyone would want a manager over 65 (eg. Capello). Stability breeds success. Changing a manager every 2 years doesn't and thats what will happen if we end up getting a manager in his late 60's!!

I'd like to see an ex-Spur managing when Harry goes, even if they haven't managed a side previously.

Clive Allen or Steve Perryman perhaps.

If we can't get Mourinho we should go all out to get the new Mourinho, this Villas-Boas guy looks a bit special, cut his teeth under Jose and has now eclipsed him at Porto

How has Villas-Boas eclipsed Jose? Do you just mean in the league? I don't know anything about the guy, but Jose won the UEFA cup & the Champions league at Porto so anyone who can match that has to be pretty special. BTW - I'm not having a dig, I'm just interested in what this new guy has achieved.

Depending on how long 'Arry is with us...I think there is a good chance it will be Sherwood.
Don't really know what to think of that ifit happens.
Never managed anywhere so may be great, may be awful.
May be I'm wrong.

Can't see it myself. I think Levy will want a name.

There are 2 ways of going.

The obvious is an established name - Mourinho, Van Gaal, Hiddink. This brings lots of pressure to constantly finish top 4. And rightly so.

The other option, if those 3 are unattainable, is a younger, up & coming man - Coyle, Moyes, Hughes. If we go for one of those I think we, as fans, are going to have to give them time to bed in. Can we expect them to come in and overtake the big 3 plus City? Especially in a years time when they've spent another gazillion?

Personally I like Coyle; he's done extremely well at Burnley and now Bolton. Don't forget Bolton were bottom 3 when he came in and they're top 7 or 8 now. Players seem to like him & want to play for him. A big, big step up for him but I prefer his type of football to that of Moyes. And Hughes has had an up & down career so far.

If needs to be a manager who has been there and done that, simply so he can come in following Redkanpp and make his presence felt. If we sign a manager like Coyle/Moyes/Bruce, the players (such as VdV) wouldn't respect him.

Needs to be a step up from Harry.

If Jose doesn't fancy it then, Van Gaal, Hiddink or Ancelotti if he's looking for a job.

I think Redknapp should go this summer purely becuase he wants to be England manager and the distraction this will cause next season will be bad for Spurs. Some of his comments lately have been less than inspirational part of me think he is no longer committed to the Spurs cause.

We have no chance with Mourinho lets go for Van Gaal he is leaving Bayern and has always done a good job where ever he has gone. Good manager with wealth of experience both in leagues and CL.

He might be leaving Bayern but do you really expect a manager of his calibre to be out of work for long? Remember we probably won't be looking for a new manager until Harry goes to manager england in the summer of 2012.

I'm really not sure if I'd want Mourinho.... he would probably be very succesfull with us but I'm not sure how exciting we would be under him. I guess I could live with a couple of years of a less exciting style of play if we won the league.

That's why I say let Harry go in the summer best for both parties. Just imagine all next season everytime Harry's is interviewd it will be, are you interested in the England and him basically say wouldnt any englishman be interested.

Also Harry's body language lately is has been non inspirational.

Believe me Harry has been thinking long and hard about next season and the England situation.

I bet he's asked himself the question would he be fully motivated at Tottenham next season if he knows he's getting the England job.

He made that remark about being flavour of the month again on Goals on Sunday. To me it was almost like he was saying that he would have to keep doing well at Spurs next season to be in the frame...He used Roy Hodgson as an example of how things can change in a year.

I hope so personally I would love Harry to turn around and sign a new 2 year contract extending his contract but he got his heart set on England.

Me personally think its a bad move for Harry.

He'll go next season, but as long as he doesn't take his eye off the ball with us until he goes - then I will wish him the best.

In terms of a bad move - he'll probably do a bit better but I'll be surprised if its anything ground breaking.

He'll get them up for it all right, nothing you can do when there is a lack of technical ability at that level. We dont keep the ball well enough.

Next WC is in Brazil too....might as well not turn up IMO.
