He was fucking garbage for us and an absolute uber fraud and coward. In a Spurs shirt he was borderline scum and deserved no respect from anyone that says that they are Spurs themselves.

Sure, for his sake I hope he transfers to Barca and goes on to have a great career. But as far as we are concerned, the guy was an utter ****.

Completely over the top.

I hope Levy has a sell on clause I always thought we sold him too cheaply to China when you consider the money Chelsea and others got for their players

Paulinho was such an enigma.

One minute a sublime piece of skill, the next two 5 yard misplaced passes.

And after Charlie ****ing Adam sidelined him with a horror challenge just after he'd scored a very good goal, we got even less of the former and more of the latter.

I seriously think that injury and subsequently the thrashing at the World Cup broke him (despite him only playing the second half v Germany). He looked mentally shattered every time he took to the pitch in his second season.

Complete mediocrity.
I only realised you were refering to your ability to judge a player.
Paulinho might not have succeeded with us but there is no doubting his ability.

Barcelona have completed the signing of former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande.

The 29-year-old has joined Barca in a £36.4m deal and is set to be presented on Thursday after undergoing his medical. His Barcelona release clause is £109.1m.

Paulinho is Ernesto Valverde's most expensive signing since taking over at Barcelona this summer.

He returns to Europe after leaving Spurs in 2015 in a £10m deal to Evergrande. During his time in the Chinese Super League he won two league titles as well as the Asian Champions League in 2015.

Hope we have a sell on fee attached to this one! Doubt Levy wanted to push his luck!

He obviously has talent, and was very decent for us and Brazil in his first season, and scored a good few nice goals. He probably wasn't quite cut out for the PL though. As usual plenty of fans only remember stuff for them to hate. I always thought we sold him too cheaply given Chelsea always seem to get about £300m for selling their third-reserve left back to Chinese clubs.

Good luck to him, be interesting to see how he does with Barca.

I agree, he wasn't a good fit for the PL but even the talent he definitely had is not up to Barca's (dropping) standards IMO.

They were always going to struggle as Xavi and now Iniesta come to the ends of their careers (both absolutely key to their brilliance in recent years) but i always thought one of their home grown would be coming through to fill that void. Obviously that hasn't happened but i can't say i think Paulinho is the answer either. Maybe he offers some short term balance but not a great signing for me at a club like that.
