Don't think anyone would have lived with the All Blacks in the first 10-15 minutes but England have come back well. They need to start the 2nd half like NZ did the first. Still odds on the All Blacks though.

That is a good comeback. Hopefully we can continue taking the fight to them and keep pinning them back and forcing them into errors and penalties.

In midfield we look really bad. Neither Twelvetrees or Tomkins seem to have any confidence or a clear idea of what they want to do. Its no good taking the ball deep, crabbing sideways then deciding you want to take it into contact. Just keep it simple, run flat and hard at the defence and try and punch some holes in the brick wall.

Good performance from England overall. But NZ are a bloody good team, and currently better. Fair result.

Very unlucky and I think 8 points difference is maybe even slightly generous in the end. After the start to the game we threw everything at them for 50 mins to get back into it but just ran out of steam. Hartley being forced off was a major turning point, T Youngs had a nightmare at the line-out and we just couldn't get any possession or territory for the last 10-15 mins.

No doubt NZ were far more clinical and looked the classy team, but imagine if we had a couple of crafty centres and some flyers on each wing...

Still work to do be done, signs look good though.

Good comeback but the moments of class tell the story.

Is a shame England can't play with such intensity everytime they take to the pitch! ( easier said than done I know )

Forwards look pretty much set, Morgan had a big impact when he come on. Him and Billy are great options at 8.

As mr pickard says, if only we could address the back line issues. Its a shame Wade and Yarde suffered injuries when they did and of course, Manu being out is a blow. Roll on the 6nations.

I thought 36 had his best game, and get Tuilagi back next to him with Barrett on the bench and it looks more solid. Ashton played better, but not well enough to keep Yarde out and we need to try the others waiting in the wings (see what I did there). The back line is still lacking that bit of magic, but it would be better than today's, try though they did.

Just about as much as I had hoped for. Good effort lads. Now lets see that kind of hustle in games not against the ABs/Boks etc.

Yeah, Billy had a very good game I thought. Consistently got over the gain line and against a less solid defence would have made a couple of line breaks.

A potential back line of Brown, Yarde, Tuilagi, Twelvetrees, Wade, Farrell and then take your pick out of three inconsistent scrum halves could be very good indeed.

We've got good depth in the forwards with Croft still injured and Parling only making the bench. Marler's only third choice loosehead and did pretty well. Front row isn't NZ's biggest strength but they're still no pushover. Apart from our try, of course.

I think we had something like 300 odd caps to their 800. A couple of years together and we're looking at a very strong team. Just need to sort out the back line. Which is what England have needed to do since 2003, really.

One-sided half there at Murrayfield. 0-21 to the Saffies. Ouch.
