Lol at the title in the thread. Dele will score now.

By running up behind Kane to score a penalty when harrys about to get his hat trick.

Edit: God could you imagine what BC would do if this happened?

We all saw what happened end of last season when Kane was up for golden boot. He’s fully aware of all these records 100%.

Chris Hughton is one of my childhood Spurs heroes, but tonight I want double figures, Kane to get the lot! (y)

Poch says that he'll not be rotating and will play a strong side and he'll keep Jan in which to me is the right thing to do.

Totally agree. Let's be honest here, many don't see us getting anything at City. We'll see.

What is paramount is that we keep a tight ship defensively tonight and get this winning steak truly up and running pre city.

That for me means Verts is a must.

So, some players rested with an eye on City at the weekend, or full strength-ish?
I'd expect a fairly strong side, with a view to subbing out some key players if we're controlling the score, but a chance to rotate FBs and maybe a MF

Lloris
Aurier Dier Vertonghen Rose
Winks Sissoko
Lamela Eriksen/Alli Son
Kane

sub/rested: Trippier, Davies, Dembele, Alli/Eriksen
other subs: Foyth/Nkoudou, Llorente, Vorm
injured/suspended: Alderweireld, Sanchez, Wanyama
others: Gazzaniga, KWP

If we are going to look at statistics and probabilities, City is bound to lose a match at some point. I don't fully understand why it couldn't be vs. us. Also, if we want to build a winning mentality among players (and subsequently, fans), we can't pick a match vs. a really good team and have the official game plan be "Boh, we'll lose this match regardless". If we play to lose vs. City, we'll lose. If we play to exploit the odd error and the fact that they will lose at some point, we might just stand a chance. Hence, for instance Lamela from start tonight, a bit of light rotation, and smart squad management through subs.

Dele's not been involved in this game at all yet. Needs to step it up.
Dele has stunk the joint out this season, on the whole. It's just the truth. He's still managed to contribute, but his bad form has definitely affected us, as poch tried to play him through it and it hasn't worked.

Hopefully he hits some true form soon and lights shit up.

Surely no Dembele or Eriksen tonight - Sissoko and Lamela to start in preparation for City.

It’s been standard procedure for every Wembley games
Not this early. Seen 2 hours but not 3. Must be to avoid rush hour traffic. Guess they’d rather have extra hour at stadium than stuck on coach.

We shouldn’t rest players in preparation for city when this is the easier game to win imo

Definitely always 3 hours. Remember them mentioning it with our CL games last season. ( maybe it’s just midweek games though )

Evening chaps and chapess's.

Heading up to Wembley for the first time and wondered if anyone could recommend a decent 'home' pub for the pre match?

Ideally within walking distance of the ground as I'm old and lazy.

Much obliged
