He was man of the match because no outfield player on the pitch did anything beyond a 6/10 all game and his counter part chucked the ball in the net. It's not like he was sprawling across the goal, he made 1 that was beyond what would be expected of him. I question how people can sit here and bother trying to make the case for our second half being a good performance when we just lost 2-0 at our own ground to our main rivals who are sauntering to a league title. Is that really the takeaway given the context of things right now.
Some people only see the goals column

If we’d scored 2/3 in that 2nd half it wouldn’t have been a surprise or unjustified

We didn’t get the run of the ball

It was Ramsdales day…

We can scream for more signings all we want but that system is never working. It’s so so easy to play against for more technical teams. Minute we started two in midfield it was obvious they’d dominate us. All these games we’ve got wing backs being doubled up on because our wingers get forced in field. Maybe we’d be more solid with better CBs but right now we’re playing with a 3 and look shocking defensively. I hate it and unless you’re going to press like absolute maniacs I just don’t know how you make it successful in 2020s football.

Hope they catch the little tw*t and ban him for life.

Pathetic that anyone would actually condone what he did.

Kissing his badge and celebrating like an absolute tosser In front of the Spurs end.

he absolutely wanted to incite that, it is the sort of bloke he is.

Would I rather have Daniel Levy with a different manager, or would I rather have Antonio Conte with a different chairman?

Oooh tough choice…
There is not a single manager in the world that would get this squad playing better. No matter who you brought in, they'd ask for 4-5 out and 4-5 in.

We had a flurry of chances and then we went flat for something like 20-25 minutes in a game where our main rivals are beating us at home. Run off the ball is a horrible excuse, you make your own luck by not giving them any respite, we should have been relentless but we wasn't, I am at a loss at how you can accept that as merely down to run of the ball.

Get a grip The world has not ended
It wasn't nice viewing but looking at stats cheered me up
PLUS
If ref hadn't fallen for their every fall
If Lloris had remembered he was a keeper
If someone had better closed down Ostagard
If Ramsdale wasn't so up his arse
Could have been a different story

He needs some time on the bench but I think the tactics are making him look worse. We have no rhythm in our play and Son thrives in an attacking formation and I blame this on Conte.
You cannot blame Conte. Sonny had his most successful season last season under Conte. His form, touch, pace has fallen off a cliff this season

Very worrying

We were behind the 8 ball from Lloris mistake for the 1st goal, just horrendous from our keeper, but sums his recent form up, badly needs upgrading now, it's too important a position to be holding out on.
Sess was destroyed today, but got no help from son at all, neither anywhere near good enough for our first team on this yrs form. Unfortunately, son looks like he is heading down the dele Ali road, where as sess will never be good enough.
Bright notes from today are Kulus return and sarrs performance. Thought Sarr had a good game, esp as Peh was very poor, esp in first half. We really miss Bentantcur in the middle and can see why we are looking to strengthen in that area.
As for the defence the less said the better, Doherty probably the pick and then unexplicably subbed, would rather sess went first. Romero rash today, unlucky to be booked, but should have the sense to stop diving in after that, esp with a ref like Pawson, who gave them everything he could today.
I always look at teams and ask who in our team would get into one of the top teams squads, it's slim pickings, Kane, Kulu, Romero, Bentantcur and possibly Richy, after that a few might develop, Sarr in particular, but the rest are nowhere near the quality, Son might get a return to form, but looking less likely every game. It's a sad state of affairs and while I found some of AC subs today strange, it's hard to make sugar out of Sh1t and the blame can only lie with recruitment, the lack of same or poor record of same. Better buying once at a premium price than persisting with our policy of buying cheap, but having to do so multiple times and winding up more expensive in the long run.
