And every player that we get to play is "fucking shit" until we sell them.

Walker and his brainfart. Get rd
Trippier pointy shouty man is slow and can't run. Get rid
Aurier is a penalty waiting to happen. Get rid.
Emerson and Doherty both played out of position during their time with us but still considered shit. Get rid.

The consistent theme is that us "supporters" are never satisfied.

I think it is more that in that moment we want more than the player is offering

But thats not all entirely true?
We had little choice with Walker leaving, sure we would have kept him had we any real choice in the matter.
Trippier and Aurier all made there fair share of errors as well, absence just makes the heart grow fonder.
Emerson just has not got what it takes and Doherty gets better the less he plays, again absence makes the heart grow fonder.
In truth we have never replaced Walker, we have had cheap punts, some terrible scouting and full backs bought for whats now a wing back role. The right side is hurting us immensely, teams see Sanchez and Emerson and immediately see a weak point and full intend to exploit it, needs dealing with asap.

Just watched the first 27 minutes on Spursplay. WTF
Emerson apart from his goal attempt which he should have hit the target from, and Kulusevski were vey good. Back to it.

Sorry but that works both ways. Who knows how we will do the rest of the season, we could just as well climb higher. With the form we had towards the end of last season we deserve at least some belief.
You could be right and I sincerely hope you are.
I keep saying that this approach is not sustainable
whether game plan or not
but they keep doing it successfully
and we get to the break in 4th. with a gap below us
to Utd who have games in hand.
(Better the points on the board)

If we come back from the World Cup
more or less intact and with a couple of signings in Jan
we can reset and go again.
I believe in the club, love Conte but he has limitations
The squad is not fully suited to his needs
and is not of absolutely top quality and he is very rigid.
But we are where we are and it is what it is.

This season is a season of two halves. I’m going to tell you all right now- we are very good side that will perform second half. We need this break and so does Conte. We will come back stronger. Through all the injuries we are still up there top 4 and CL knock out- regroup/ one or two jan trans, we will fly.

Once again this thread highlights something. And it's not the football :(
It’s embarrassing. Really starting to hate some of our fans. I’ve been on this site 18 years and not once have I blocked or put anyone on ignore, but it’s getting to a stage where I may start having to, as it is just constant and reading the same people about the same stuff is just depressing.

Yes... boo him... I have no idea why they do it to Emerson... we have 3-4 other players who are making bigger mistakes over and over again... somehow he is the scapegoat. The name Spence keeps popping up versus Emerson... like it's his fault Spence is not playing... he must do something right in training.

It's not like he has N'Dombele vibes.
He might not be the best. But he is not lazy or without heart.

Was Emerson really that bad today ?
Exactly. Dier was as horrid as always! Cannot believe he is going to the World Cup.

I think during a match, we can all feel the same thing and sometimes the frustration and how annoyed you might be really isn't helped by certain posters rocking up to tell us to get rid of Conte or whatever their agenda is. At the end of the day nobody wants to hear it but they especially don't want to hear it when it doubles down on the frustration.

Yesterday we had one guy who will remain nameless post a version of the same thing (Conte out) several times. What's the point? We feel shitty enough already. Fuck off.

And that's without taking into consideration that the game isn't even over. You'd have thought by now that this team has retrieved situations enough time for people to wait and see. But no, once again, this team proves it's character, once afuckinggain we get a result from behind but you can bet both your bollocks the next disappointing result we'll end up being told by some pure numpty that 'bottle' was lacking or lost.

For me, these people were a clear minority. The overall atmosphere was good in my view. Large portions were singing and supporting throughout.

There are negative elements but I don't think on balance the atmosphere is bad.

Definitely, I don’t know if it sounds worse on the telly but the booing, although there was far from being a majority-there was very little where I was and same with abuse it’s a small number but empty vessels make the most noise.

Support was pretty decent overall yesterday, good response each time we conceded etc.

unfortunately with 60000 people we just have more dicks than the old WHL but feels to me it’s getting overplayed

Absolutely. It's always easy to focus on the negatives but small portions of fans and a few individuals don't make the atmosphere as a whole, bad.

I thought the worst and most obvious things were the groan and boos when Royal's name was announced and the huge ironic cheer when Doherty came on to replace him.

There was also an audible groan when Royal got passed the ball. He then made the right pass into Kulu. Just ridiculous to boo someone simply for receiving the ball.

Don’t think any of our defenders can walk away from yesterdays game with any praise. Davies played ok I guess.

Odd how Royal gets jumped on. Guess it didn’t help he missed a sitter.

Have to say the atmosphere on Spursplay was not bad. Only audible sarcastic cheer when Doherty replaced Emerson. Who incidentally was not bad at all.

Come on let's have some positivity ! We ended before the break on a high. We all knew this last game was all about the result and less about the performance. I safely predicted before the game that we would have to outscore them to bag the 3 points because our defence which is currently shot of confidence shouldn't be relied on to see us through it 1-0 or 2-0 and so it proved. We didn't need much of a crystal ball to predict that.

I'm optimistic about the second half of the season after the break, things to work on and reinforcements to buy and players to ship out, but if you'd offered me qualification for the CL knock out and right in the mix for top 4 and to end with a win I'd have taken that all day long COYS !

I think the reason Royal was getting so much stick was that he was getting so much if the ball in the first half, so law of averages etc. He seemed to be trying to quickly move the ball onto Deki most of the time and this was quite effective. He then had the pretty awful attempt at goal and he seemed to lose his touch but he wasn't all bad and no worse than Dier, for example, who seems to lost his way recently .

Delighted with the hard worked win. Some sloppy passing particularly in the first half but tremendous team spirit to come back and win despite being behind three times.
