So why were people going mental a month ago with joy? I've never seen so many posts saying best transfer window ever? Did everyone just by carried away? We've had a terrible window so far

Because for some reason selling bad players that we bought for a substantial loss equals a good window.

People seemed to be over the moon that we were selling players that were perceived to have failed, I would imagine they thought it was the club clearing the decks to get some real quality in.

I wonder how the treatment and turnover of players looks to players we wish to sign,

Poch's treatment of senior pros for example, is the club a good environment to work in now?

I would love to know what the plan is now....maybe we can bid for Wanyama and have Soton reject us. That always seems like a good idea! Shambles....

Plenty more options out there for us, remembering that we've sniffed out some loan options if it comes to that.

Whether they'll be a reasonable chance of long-term quality for us is a different matter though.

Who are these plenty more options? As I seem to recall, 99% of those options have gone or signed new contracts. The main ones were the German lads and McCarthy and we won't be getting them now.

I don't want to have to keep putting up with Stambouli like signings...there is literally no point! Like I said, we have had 2 seasons to sort this out now. I really hope we do have other decent options but I just can't think of anyone decent left on the list.

I'll reiterate my unpopular opinion...Capoue would have been great in our squad while we sorted this mess out...

I mean I agree in part, but we have sold 7 players and bought 5. These are the harder positions to fill, so I'd rather us get it right for the sake for five years rather than 3 games. That's where I come from on this, and I understand the frustration but I just wish people would take a step back and think about it with a bit of perspective (but that's not a realistic expectation I suppose because people will be people right?)

I can confirm I will always be people
