Well he's in Germany today, just seen on SSN. So it could be a few days yet. Obviously he's still a Blackburn player, and he was always going to be involved until a deal is accepted, but it blows away reports of a deal being agreed already.

I would have thought City would go all out for thier other targets now Dinho blown them out.

I reckon Citeh's arse-witted and cringe-inducing pursuit of Ronaldinho could be a massive boost for us.

Think of the time and effort they've wasted chasing a deal that anyone with even half a brain could tell them from the outset was doomed to fail. They could have expended that energy chasing proper, realistic targets: who knows how many might be the same as ours.

looks like the bentley transfer still has a while to run yet! TBH im more worried about our LW and a new CB then bentley. dont get me wrong if we sign him great but our main concern should be LW and CB, and of course keeping our current strikers!

Why are you worried about our left wing? We have Bale, dos Santos, Gilberto, Steed all very capable of doing a job there eventhough none of them are really out and out wingers. I don't see LW to be a problem area anyhow.

Our biggest problem the last two seasons has been our central midfield. We've signed Modric but I think we should get a proper DM as well. Otherwise I agree with you. :)

Would save me checking these sites morning , noon and night as well as news now!!

All we require is the double signing announcement of Bentley and Albelda and an announcement that Berbatov and Keane are staying

Then we can start selling the deadwood and look forward to the season ahead

Wonderful idea and one which would exist in a perfect world. Unfortunately as we are witnessing it isnt quiet as easy as that! This day and age Ego's and money make the football world go round.

I think thats the most realistic I've ever seen you're sig mate. I wouldn't let O'Hara go though, I think he's got a lot to offer.

Albelda would be a fantastic tutor for Huddlestone. I'm not so sure he'll leave Valencia now though, looks like most of their stars are staying put.

What other wingers have we been linked with this window? I was looking for that list that used to be on here of ALL the links we have experienced

All i can think of is Bentley, Santana, Joaquin and Capel

maybe but we would have 5 central midfielders who are all better (modric, albelda, jenas, huddlestone and Zokora). We also would have 3 left side midfielders (giovanni, malbranque and taarabt) There is simply no room for O'Hara. We shouldn't need more then 10 first team squad midfielders

That's like saying United don't need O'Shea and Fletcher. I don't think O'Hara's ever going to be a superstar, but he's a good squaddie. I just don't understand how people write him off on the evidence of a few appearances, in most of which he's played out of position. He's a left-sided CM. He actually got to play there against the Scum at the Death Star and did a very decent job.

There is one problem with O'Hara on your sig Bubble. You have him at £3m but we already rejected an offer of £4m from Fulham  I think O'Hara will ultimately replace Tainio as our utility player for now though. I'd replace Jarque with Diaz (cheaper more experienced player) and get a cheap experienced keeper as No 2. I agree with Bentley and Albelda though, as they would add some steel to our midfield which is starting to look a little lightweight. I'd also be happy to sell Malbranque if we could get Capel.

It would seem that Spurs will have to offer cash for Bentley, which will make them just as determined to be paid in cash for Berbatov. The future of Robbie Keane remains unresolved with his deal to Liverpool still uncertain, but they are confident of concluding deals to sell Younes Kaboul and Pascal Chimbonda in the next few days.

Did the Indy seriously expect us to take pizza vouchers and a few phones with free texts at weekends instead for Berbs

Just what kind of fantasy land do they live in - of course it will take cash to get hold of Berbs - stacks of the stuff - really do these people have a clue?

Blackburn need Robbo more than we need Bentley I believe, especially now that Brad has said he wants to leave Blackburn!
